The arrival of Crown Prince Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, apparently has resulted in a large-scale business memorandum of understanding (MoU).
Of the 3 MoUs that are business to business, the total value reached Rp. 136 trillion or US $ 9.7 billion, said Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi.
Foreign Minister Retno explained that the business to business agreement was carried out by 3 companies, namely PT Pertamina (Persero) with ADNOC for the development of Balikpapan’s RDMP. PT Chandra ASRI Petrochemicals and Mubadala for the Naphta Cracker and Petrochemical Complex projects. Then PT Pelabuhan Indonesia Maspion and DP World Asia related to the development and operation of container terminals in the Maspion Industrial Estate, East Java.
He also said that the very historic bilateral meeting between Jokowi and Mohammed was indeed focused on discussing matters relating to the economy and investment. Because the visit was the first state visit in 29 years after the last visit was carried out by the father of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
Even so, there are also 9 other MoUs that are government to government (government to government). The nine MoUs are in the field of increasing investment protection, double tax avoidance, industry, customs, tourism, maritime affairs and fisheries, defense, consumption and culture.
Retno explained that the main substance discussed at the meeting of the two friends was a way to improve economic cooperation between the two countries, and how as fellow Muslim countries they could collaborate that would benefit the people and for the community
In the arrival of Crown Prince Abu Dhabi to Indonesia, President Jokowi picked up directly at Soekarno Hatta Airport. Then both of them climbed the same car to Bogor Palace. But on his way, Jokowi took the initiative to invite Mohammed around Jakarta.
Jokowi wanted to show that development in Indonesia showed rapid development. He also pointed out the area that became the icon of the Indonesian capital, the HI roundabout, because there had been an MRT (Mass Rapid Transit). It was also known that the state visit of the President of the United Arab Emirates Caliph bin Zayid al-Nahyan was carried out 29 years ago or in 1990.
After the group arrived at Bogor Palace, both were welcomed with a state ceremony and planting resin trees. Then continued with the signing of three memorandum of understanding with state-owned companies and private companies in Indonesia.
Jokowi and Mohammed also have very close relationships, like a friend. The meeting then became the longest bilateral meeting conducted by Jokowi, which was more than 2.5 hours
On this occasion the minister of industry Airlangga Hartanto explained that the MoU in the field of industry, which was signed between the Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Energy and Industry of the United Arab Emirates. The collaboration is broad in scope, but more specific to the development of cooperation especially in terms of artificial intelligence or Artificial Intelligence (AI)
This collaboration certainly shows that the Indonesian government is considered to be quite visionary, so the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi wants to establish cooperation with Indonesia.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the heart of industry 4.0. In the future industrial competition is on AI, then it is cooperated with Abu Dhabi, in the future AI will also be applied more broadly. One of the fundamentals is for mobile databases.
One application of AI in our lives today is the use of Navigation Apps, where travelers can use the application in their daily lives to move from one place to another, using either Google Maps or Apple Maps, and similar applications are also useful when we order motorbikes online.
Simply put, Google Maps and Apple Map, use artificial intelligence to interpret hundreds of thousands of data of money they receive to provide traffic data user information in real time.
With the bilateral meeting, it certainly shows that the two countries have the same passion and vision towards the development of AI in welcoming the industrial era 4.0, so that Indonesia will become a country that not only develops, but also has competitiveness in facing the 4.0 industrial era.
