Pre-work cards have been launched since April 11, 2020. Enthusiasts are booming, already 8 million people have registered via the site. The president asks that this card be given to those who really need it, namely the victims of layoffs.
The pre-employment card is a program launched by the government to address the high unemployment rate in Indonesia. This program is very different from overseas. If there unemployment is paid and subsidized by the state, then in Indonesia the unemployed are given pocket money but also receive training as entrepreneurial capital. So, this program is very good so that they are no longer confused about where to find work.
President Joko Widodo asked for pre-employment cards to be given to the right parties, namely unemployed workers who had been laid off due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. This statement was given when he chaired a limited meeting at the Merdeka Palace last Thursday. They are prioritized so that they no longer increase the number of unemployed in this country. In addition, people who were laid off because of the corona pandemic effect certainly needed a grip in the form of skills that could be used to make money.
The plan, as many as 5 million pre-work cards will be given to unemployed people who really need help from the government. So when you still have a steady income, don’t register to the site to get it. Remember the priority of this card is aimed at unemployment. So don’t be greedy and just register, just for 3.5 million.
Pre-work card registrants to date have reached 8 million people. The first wave of registration was from April 10, 2020. They were asked to fill out forms and write down data in the form of their full names, addresses, KTP numbers, and others. There is a very strict selection in getting this card, so in the first stage there are only 100,000 people who will get it. The plan, there will be 5 million cards distributed to the unemployed.
Holders of pre-employment cards will be entitled to receive as much as 3,550,000 rupiah, but this is not a surprise to be spent consumptively. The details are, the 2.4 million money is indeed their right as assistance from the government, which will be transferred through an account or digital wallet. This money is given in stages, for 4 months.
The remaining money will be used as training costs for each pre-work card holder. If you have one, you will be able to get online training and be able to choose from several companies. Among them Pintaria, the Ministry of Manpower, Bukalapak, and others. Online training was chosen because in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic it would certainly be very vulnerable if a workshop was held in the building and invited the crowd. This will violate the rules of stay at home, social distancing, and PSBB.
So, the main focus in giving pre-work cards is the provision of skills and knowledge to the unemployed. They can get new skills and can be used in the world of work, or can also be used as the main capital in doing business. If they dare to open a business, it will certainly be very good, because it can open new vacancies and reduce the number of unemployed people in Indonesia.
The pre-employment card will be very useful for the unemployed and they can breathe freely because they feel cared for by the government. They are no longer confused where to look for money. The granting of pre-employment cards is proof that the government is very concerned about the people’s fate.
Unemployed people affected by layoffs due to the Covid-19 pandemic will be a priority in getting a pre-employment card. They will get financial assistance and especially get new skills from training provided by several companies appointed by the government. This pandemic rocked the nation’s economy and resulted in many employees being laid off, but unemployed people still had hope when they got a pre-employment card.
