Society Refuses Sweeping Community Organizations Ahead of Christmas and New Year

Tolerance has been a breath of Indonesia for years. The public, of course, refuses sweeping actions from any mass organization that have an impact on disrupting religious holidays. In fact, criminal punishment awaits the perpetrators of Sweeping.
Sweeping that is done arrogantly not only disturbs order, but can also be charged with criminal articles.
Head of the Jakarta Police Public Relations Division, Senior Commissioner Yusri Yunus said, organizations that carry out sweeping actions can be charged with criminal offenses. Because. The police have banned mass organizations from sweeping during Christmas and New Year celebrations at places of worship or entertainment venues.
Yusri said the decisive action was in accordance with applicable laws. It will do it decisively and we secure it. If we fight criminal, we will act according to the applicable law.
Therefore, he gave an appeal to every mass organization to assist the police in securing the Christmas and New Year celebrations. In this case, the Nahdlatul Ulama Multipurpose Anisan Barisan organization (BANSER NU) is ready to secure the church during the Christmas celebration.
The police’s invitation to CSOs was welcomed by them. Banser has stated its willingness to assist the authorities in efforts to maintain religious tolerance. In addition there are also some organizations that are ready to exert strength to guard the existing church by patrolling with the authorities.
In an effort to safeguard during the Christmas and New Year 2020 celebrations, the police will also deploy 10,000 personnel to secure the celebration in all Polda Metro Jaya jurisdictions.
All personnel will be deployed at 95 security posts and 27 service posts that function to monitor security during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Polda Metro Jaya will also hold a security rally in preparation for securing the Christmas and New Year. The apple is planned to take place on December 23, 2019.
