Government and Security Force Ready to Secure Nataru

The end of the year moment is always a special concern, in addition to coinciding with school holidays, the end of the year is a special day for Christians who celebrate Christmas by visiting each other relatives. In response to this, the Government and the Security Apparatus (Apkam) continue to anticipate various things in order to support the smooth Christmas and New Year (Nataru) 2020.
The coordinating ministry for Politics, Law and Security has prepared several strategic steps to secure Christmas and New Year celebrations in Indonesia. Coordinating Minister for Politics and Security, Mahfud MD said, that the threat of terrorism is still one of the things that attract attention.
In addition to terrorism, several attentions to vulnerability ahead of Christmas and the new year include the smooth flow of traffic and the disruption of Kamtibmas. This is based on years of experience.
The former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court said, an increase in community mobility in celebrating Christmas and the New Year had the potential to cause vulnerability to public security and order. He appealed, so that the implementation of religious worship can take place safely and peacefully, so that congregants who worship in the Church need not feel worried.
On the same occasion, Mahfud MD emphasized that, the threat of Terror, sweeping by certain elements, intolerance between religious communities and the burning of houses of worship must be anticipated as early as possible.
He also invited the public at large to ensure the implementation of religious worship is full of tolerance, safe and peaceful throughout the country.
In the security sector, Head of the Jakarta Police Regional Public Relations Commissioner Kombes Yusri Yunus said, the Jakarta Police is ready to oversee the Christmas and New Year holidays by deploying 10 thousand security personnel. He added his side had also prepared 95 security posts and there were also 27 community service posts.
To support the smooth operation and security at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, the City Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner, Adi Ferdian Airport also tightened the airport. So it does not rule out the possibility of terrorism that will occur in public facilities such as Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
Adi said that his party will deploy 142 personnel to secure the Christmas and New Year period which will last for 19 days. The period starts from 19 December 2019 until 6 January 2020.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Home Affairs (Minister of Home Affairs) has issued a circular related to the preparation for the 2019 Christmas and New Year 2020 celebrations. This circular was sent to all regional heads.
This circular contains an appeal to the Governor and Regent / Mayor to coordinate with each other, take steps. Tito Karnavian as the Minister of the Interior revealed that regional and regional governments should always form the Integrated Christmas and New Year 2020 Monitoring Post.
The post will later be able to facilitate coordination, facilitate, control, and monitor the preparation and implementation of the two big celebrations.
In essence, through the circular issued by the Minister of Home Affairs, the Regional Government is invited to participate in improving the quality of public services to the public ahead of the preparation of the 2019 Christmas Holiday and 2020 New Year.
In the circular, the Ministry of Home Affairs gave an appeal relating to the flow of traffic and goods, the regional government needed to make arrangements at locations that could cause congestion, as well as logistical and fuel transport vehicles.
In addition, the local government must actively control and control prices, stocks of basic necessities and fuel.
During the Christmas and New Year 2020 celebrations, the Ministry of Home Affairs also asked the regional government to optimize the active role of the community through religious leaders, traditional leaders and community leaders in order to prevent or resolve potential disturbances through the principle of local wisdom.
In addition, one thing that is no less important ahead of the celebration of religious holidays is the availability of supplies of basic necessities.
To anticipate this, the Ministry of Trade continues to increase synergy with other government agencies, such as the food task force (SATGAS), checking the availability of food commodities ahead of the celebration of the religious day.
Synergy is felt necessary to maintain the stability of prices of basic commodities, considering that food is a strategic commodity for basic human needs that must be met.
Therefore, the government and the community must also continue to work together in maintaining the smoothness of Christmas and the New Year 2020, in order to create a safe and peaceful atmosphere.
