Support the TNI / Polri to Eradicate KKB

Armed Criminal Groups have often acted cruelly against civilians and hindered development in Papua. The community also supports the suppression of these gangs in order to create security in Papua.
Papuan figures such as Beny Wenda have openly stated that Papua has become independent until it has its own President by the name of Yabol Sembut and National Police Chief Elias Ayakeding is an act of open treason and must be given firm action so that it does not exist so that it will be difficult to eradicate it.
Of concern, the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) and the Free Papua Movement are often “stowaways” in the course of democracy in Indonesia.
This can be seen when the Indonesian nation is preoccupied with an atmosphere of political pressure from radical Islamic groups as well as the interference from the East Indonesia Assembly group against civilians in Central Sulawesi as well as the Direct Pilkada agenda in a number of regions.
In April 2020, the Joint TNI-Polri Team who were members of the Menangkawi Operation task force (task force) had learned the location of the KKB’s hiding place in Papua. Throughout 2020, the joint team has also cracked down on several members of the criminal group.
Papua Police Chief Inspector General Paulus Waterpauw said the TNI-Polri Joint Team had known and mapped the hiding places of the KKB groups.
Throughout 2020, the joint TNI / Polri team is serious in eradicating the existence of KKB which is disturbing and disturbing security and order in Papua.
On April 9, 2020, a joint TNI / Polri team arrested 3 KKB members at a hideout in Kampung Jayanti, Iwaka District, Mimika Regency. Three people were arrested, namely Tandi Kogoya, Manu Kogoya and Ivan Sambom. The evidence confiscated included ammunition, crossbows, homemade firearms and sharp weapons of the type of machete.
The day after that, the joint team again arrested one KKB member at Mount Botak, Tembagapura District, Mimika Regency. One KKB member named Menderita Walia along with evidence of a SS1V11 firearm, a magazine and 17 rounds of ammunition.
The assertiveness of the TNI / Polri is absolutely necessary to eradicate KKB, this is because the group has spread terror and has even shown resistance to the TNI / Polri.
In April 2019, for example, KKB attacked a team of TNI personnel from a distance of about 100 meters with a hit and run system.
At that time, Helly with serial number HA-5179 belonging to the Indonesian Army flight attendant landed in order to deliver foodstuffs (Bamak) for the routine needs of TNI troops who were carrying out Trans Papua security.
During the loading and unloading of the bamak at 10:45 WIT which was carried out by a team of 10 soldiers who were going to pick up the bamak, suddenly the team was attacked by the Armed Separatist Criminal group identified from the Egianus Kogoya group.
The attack resulted in 2 TNI Soldiers becoming victims, both of whom suffered gunshot wounds, on behalf of Serda Dedy being hit by a projectile on the back and Prada M. Hoirul Zahman Zahri suffered a gunshot wound to the left calf.
The incident received a response from the Presidential Chief of Staff, Moledoko, who highlighted the name and status of the Papuan armed criminal group (KKB) crackdown. Moeldoko did not want the name of the criminal group to make the KKB in Papua equal the status of the criminal groups in the Tanah Abang area, Jakarta.
Moeldoko also wanted the Papuan KKB to be called a separatist group. Thus, the status of suppression can be increased and no longer limits TNI soldiers in the field.
The act of attack that has been carried out by the KKB is certainly a serious threat to the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia and the progress of the development program in Papua which is being promoted by the government.
The problem of the circulation of illegal weapons used by irresponsible individuals, of course, becomes a separate homework for Indonesian intelligence. This of course must be investigated where the KKB can get the weapons to launch attacks. Arms smuggling seems very easy. So that separatist groups such as KKB can easily get military standard weapons everywhere.
Meanwhile, the police also succeeded in uncovering the elements in the West Papua National Committee (KNPB) in supplying firearms to armed criminal groups (KKB).
The smuggling of weapons is of course an illegal activity that must be eliminated, because of this the KKB has the power to destroy the land of Papua and threaten the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia. So that the eradication of the KKB and all forms of arms smuggling is a fixed price.
