The policy initiated by the seventh President of Indonesia not only focuses on accelerating infrastructure development but also on creating job opportunities and alleviating extreme poverty.
Since the beginning of his leadership, President Jokowi has emphasized the importance of building an economy based on social justice. On various occasions, this leader of the nation, born in the city of Surakarta, has stated that the fulfillment of Human Rights (HR) in the social, economic, and cultural fields must continue to be pursued.
One of the main priorities of his administration is to eradicate extreme poverty to reach zero percent in the shortest possible time. In addition, the Head of State is also committed to creating as many job opportunities as possible, so that future generations can enjoy better social and economic conditions.
One of the main achievements of President Joko Widodo’s administration is the creation of a strong foundation for long-term economic growth. The Deputy for Macro Economy and Finance Coordination at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Ferry Irawan, highlighted that the economic growth plan for Indonesia initiated by President Jokowi is expected to accelerate to 6-7% from 2025 to 2045.
This economic heritage is expected to lead Indonesia towards the status of a developed country, where high economic growth becomes the main pillar in maintaining stability and the welfare of the people. This effort has begun with various structural reforms, increased investment, and a consistent strengthening of exports carried out by the government.
In the social sector, the government under President Jokowi’s leadership continues to promote programs aimed at improving the welfare of the community. Programs like the Healthy Indonesia Card (KIS), the Smart Indonesia Card (KIP), and other social assistance have had a significant positive impact.
This initiative is designed to reduce social inequality and provide better access for underprivileged communities to healthcare and education services. These steps are also part of a larger effort to build superior human resources, which is an important investment for the nation’s future.

The Minister of Defense and the elected President in the 2024 elections, Prabowo Subianto, acknowledged that the policy has a significant impact in addressing the inefficiencies that have long hindered Indonesia’s economic growth.
By using a single accurate map, this policy enables the government to manage natural resources and land more effectively, allowing the benefits to be directly felt by the community.
President Jokowi’s leadership has also strengthened Indonesia’s position in the eyes of the world. Through proactive economic diplomacy, Indonesia has successfully attracted more foreign investment, particularly in strategic sectors such as renewable energy, manufacturing, and technology.
