Three Labor Organizations commit to create Peaceful Elections
CIDISS – Despite different political choices, three large labor organizations are committed to creating 2019 Concurrent Elections to be peaceful, safe and orderly. Those three Labor Organizations are the Confederation of All Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPSI), the Confederation of Indonesian Workers ‘Unions (KSPI), and the Confederation of Indonesian Workers’ Unions (KPBI).
KSPSI Chairperson, Andi Gani Nena said he with Said (President of KSPI Said Iqbal) was indeed a different political choice, he choose Prabowo, I choose Jokowi, but we acted and agreed to commit to keep the 2019 elections safe and peaceful.
According to Andi, the unity and unity of the Republic of Indonesia is the main thing. There for he appealed to all Indonesian workers to remain calm in politics. Workers are urged not to share the many hoax news on social media and in addressing the current developing situation. It will only divide the national unity.
The President of KSPI, Said Iqbal hoped that the political elite would prioritize the interests of the nation above the interests of groups and groups. According to him, the contestation of the 2019 Presidential Election must be welcomed cheerfully, not just an arena or battleground.
He also appealed to workers to prioritize ideas if there were political differences. Hopefully this can be imitated by the supporters and success teams of each candidate.
With the 2019 election going to be held, the importance of the role of election organizers is to be fair and prevent things from tarnishing the democratic process. Hopefully all election organizers can play the role of their respective functions, so that if the role is optimal, there is no need for things that are not desirable.
