TOLERATION OF RELIGION = PEACE
By: Mirwan Ahmad )*
Today Christmas has become a universal celebration day, no longer just a religious celebration of Christians. Although there are many people outside the Christian community who refuse to just celebrate Christmas (even to wish you a Merry Christmas), there seems to be more people involved “celebrating.”
Celebrating what is meant here is certainly not in a religious sense, but in a general sense, just a party and having fun on holidays. Even in some places, Christmas is celebrated improperly, with riots, debauchery and doing things that are not appropriate.
A life of peace is everyone’s dream. The problem is, in this world we have never found what was meant by the Prosperous Peace. For the world, peace is always temporary, and we don’t know what will happen tomorrow. Humans live in uncertain hope. That is why humans must accept and support each other so that peace takes place and after all follow.
So that we have peace, there are several criteria that enter it, namely PEACE.
P = Proclaim
E = Evangelism
A = Authority of Jesus Christ
C = Commitment
E = Energized by the Holy Spirit
Peace is truly a sure, unshakable peace. If there is no PEACE yet, come on, open your heart wide and give your whole life to him, we will have Peace and Prosperity. Peace in question does not mean that we suddenly become rich and not suddenly our disease is cured, but even though the situation has not changed, the person in his heart has God, he will still be Peaceful.
In addition to the above, peace can also be done by respecting and respecting religion in carrying out its religious services. For example, during the Christmas celebration, people who embrace other religions other than Christianity do not take actions that can disrupt the Christian worship.
