President Joko Widodo announced the location of a new capital, namely some North Paser Sharpeners and Kutai Kartanegara. Both are districts in East Kalimantan. According to the President , the removal of the I bu K ota N egara (IKN) is now urgent. The consideration is the burden of Jakarta as a center of government and business as well as being very heavy. The government does not want to make that heavy burden continue to be borne by Jakarta , so the removal of the capital city of Ne .
D ipilihnya East Kalimantan as the location of new capital because of several factors , among others, is security, especially disaster is minimal . East Kalimantan is also considered strategic because it is in the middle of Indonesia. Selan, Kalimanta n East has a relatively complete infrastructure, and has provided government-controlled land area of 180 thousand hectares.
There are lessons to be in get, when the new capital actually materialize in the future, considering Jakarta today is so congested and the problem is so piled up. The new capital has hope. In addition to being excellent in supporting government administration, the capital city is also a window of the country , thus becoming the face of the Indonesian nation.
To realize the new Capital City, many things need to be prepared, among others, starting from the legal umbrella because there must be a change in regulations , to lobbying investors who will participate in the development of the Capital region. The central government agency will move locations, and it is certainly accompanied by massive migration of central government employees so that governance must also be prepared bearing in mind the number of ASNs to be transferred is not small .
From some of the basic preparations mentioned, the government has taken steps. At present the Omnibus Law IKN which is the legal umbrella for the transfer of the National Capital has been submitted by the government to the DPR for discussion. Concerning investors, the government has invited various foreign and domestic investors and some are even ready to work together to build a new National Capital. Speaking governance at the new IKN, the government is already finished designing the Omnibus Law R eform B irokrasi which will be used secarah thorough ditatanan bureaucracy in new IKN . Not only that, Omnibus Law products prepared by the government include taxation, investment, employment creation and many more whose purpose is to support the running of the government in the new IKN.
East Kalimantan (East Kalimantan) itself has several advantages if IKN has been moved. B ome aspects of the benefit, among other aspects of agricultural activities in East Kalimantan and the surrounding area will be increased because of the needs of agricultural products increased, then the infrastructure link between provinces in Kalimantan will increase. The business aspect of the residential sector in the area around the capital city can be increased due to high demand due to the arrival of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) and private employees who work in the capital area.
For this reason, as the Indonesian people, we need to support the government’s decision to move the National Capital .
