CIDISS – Total amount of Indonesian debt increase year by year. It becomes responsible for government to pay and pay off the debt. Actually, Indonesia has capability for free from debt.
Finance Minister, Sri Mulyani Indrawati said, Indonesia today is applying expansive policy, i.e ; expenditures is greater than states’ revenues. It impact to fiscal deficit that should be financed by debt.
Sri Mulyani said Indonesia has capability in stopping debt or loan. But, there are requirement that should be fulfill if state does not debt anymore to continue the Indonesian economic moving.
“Many people asks me, when we stop to get debt? I will stop to debt if our revenue is greater than expenditure,” said Sri Mulyani as in liputan6.com.
As a development country and continue the building, Indonesia need much budget for infrastructure. “For building, the revenue does not fall from the sky (suddenly),” she added.
Today, Sri Mulyani added, Indonesian government efforts to fix the tax ratio aiming increase the revenue. Tax ratio as indicator for amount of tax payer that is still low about 11%. It means that there is an opportunity to increase the revenue from tax.
“So, do not forget to pay the tax,” said her.
