Manado – The existence of the Nusantara Student Hostel (AMN) is believed to boost the quality of human resources (HRM), especially the young generation of Indonesia.
The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of North Sulawesi Province, Steve HA Kepel, reaffirmed that the construction of the Manado AMN is not just a physical construction project.
“The development of AMN Manado is not just a physical building but a symbol of our commitment to human resource development,” said Steve Kepel.
More than that, he said, AMN is expected to be a conducive place for students to learn, create, and collaborate, thereby boosting the quality of SDM in the region.
AMN Manado, Steve’s successor, along with AMN in Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Malang, and Makassar, is part of the government’s efforts to create a supportive environment for students from a variety of cultural, linguistic, and religious backgrounds.
“This facility is expected to be a comfortable home and at the same time a container for strengthening the unity and unity among the students, as well as preparing them for a generation of qualified nation successors,” he added.
Earlier, the Special Staff (Stafsus) Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Pancasila Ideological Construction Agency (BPIP), Antonius Benny Susetyo or Romo Benny mentioned that the Manado AMN is a place of incarceration for the future leader of the nation.
Romo Benny explains that AMN not only serves as a residence, but also as a means to enhance student insight.
“At AMN students can learn many things, such as ethics, organizing, building arguments and public opinion. So AMN is not only a place of rest, but also activities to enrich insights,” said Romo Benny.
He added that inclusive education such as the one at AMN is very much needed by a diverse Indonesia in improving the quality of SDM.
“If you want to build a compact Indonesia, collaboration through inclusive education like this is very necessary, so that the quality of the characterized SDM also increases,” he said.
The implementation of the AMN is a symbol of the strong commitment of the Government of RI through the National Intelligence Agency (BIN) to continue to develop the youth SDM of Indonesia. (*)
