Bali, Indonesia has once again been entrusted to host the prestigious Indonesia Africa Forum (IAF) II as well as the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLF MSP) or the High-Level Forum on Multi-Party Partnerships 2024.

The event, which will take place from September 1-3, 2024, in Bali, is planned to be attended by several leaders and foreign delegations to discuss various global challenges and strengthen Indonesia-Africa cooperation in various fields.

The Director of Foreign Policy and International Development Cooperation at the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (PPN/Bappenas), Hendra Wahanu Prabandani, stated that the HLF MSP forum is a continuation of various government programs to date.

“The previous G20 presidency has produced a Roadmap for Stronger Recovery and Resilience in Developing Countries. The HLF MSP 2024 continues the baton from what has been built by the Indonesian Government up to this point,” said Hendra.

The continuation of HLF MSP 2024 will be a tangible proof of Indonesia’s commitment to fostering multi-stakeholder partnerships, ranging from the government, civil society organizations, the private sector, to academia.

Not only that, the forum is expected to be a catalyst for innovative solutions in addressing global challenges, as well as to strengthen Indonesia’s role as a leader in the efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030.

“We want to emphasize the importance of collaboration among stakeholders to strengthen collective action in order to ensure inclusive collaboration and cooperation, and to find innovative solutions to address the global issues that we know are becoming increasingly complex,” he said.

Senada, the Deputy for Politics, Law, Defense, and Security of the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, Bogat Widyatmoko, stated that the HLF MDP will focus on global issues and strengthen cooperation between southern and northern countries.

“HLF MSP 2024 serves as a platform to respond to various global crises that have widened the development gap between countries in the Global South and North, as well as slowed the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030,” he stated.

He emphasized that Indonesia is strongly committed to promoting global solidarity through the HLF MSP forum, which will be held in early September.
