Emergency Illegal Drug in Central Kalimantan

Central Kalimantan province is assumed for emergency on illegal drug that do not listed in BPOM (National Food and Drug Agency). Besides that, drug on list G, Carnophen type or Zenit is crowded in trading. It is assumed by many cases that found by police.

Chief of BPOM Palangka raya, Trikoranti Mustikawati said that the drug circulation does not through pharmacy. The party has investigated entire pharmacy but they found nothing.

Moreover, the party also does not know the home industry or factory which produces or sell this drug. BPOM request to entire people, report to police or authority if found any information about drug.

Not only zenith, BPOM also found traditional Jamu (tonic made of medicinal herbs) which has not permitted trading in Central Kalimantan, such Kotawaringin Timur and Kapuas. BPOM also request people checking the number of permit trading through BPOM’s website. If it is not listed, it categorized as dangerous for consume.

Trikoranti requested people, do not buy drug or Jamu which is not listed in BPOM. Drug or Jamu usually offer some benefits.

“Such benefit can heal all disease. That’s illegal drug, because BPOM never give legal permit,” said trikoranti.
