Governor has Decided Provincial Minimum Salary

Provincial Minimum Salary (UMP) in Central Kalimantan Province in 2017 is increase. The regulation is on governor regulation No 23 year 2016 and has signed by governor on 1 November 2016. According to the regulation, the Provincial Minimum Salary (UMP) in Central Kalimantan Province is about IDR 2.227.307.

The regulation is signed after meeting of salary council in Palangka Raya. Besides that, it is according to letter of the ministry of labor no. B.175/MEN/PHIJSK-UPAH/X/2016, 17 October 2016 and meeting all head board of labor in Indonesia with the minister of labor in Jakarta, 25 October 2016, formulation of economic growing 4.97 percent, increase 5.18 percent. Then, after added inflation of 3.07 percent, then it resulted on increased on Provincial Minimum Salary (UMP) in central Kalimantan is 8.25 percent.

On 2016, the Provincial Minimum Salary in Central Kalteng is IDR 2.057.558, and increase 8.25 percent on 2017, and then it will implement on next 1 January 2017.

Chief of industrial relationship of board of labor and transmigration central Kalimantan, Kena said that by the UMP for 2017, the next job is giving information to all regencies and city in Central Kalimantan, in order, they implement the new UMP.

He stated that, all entrepreneurs are obligate to implement it. If there is entrepreneur which do not implement the regulation, they will get sanction according to regulation no 13 year 2013 about labor, with sanction of prison for 1 year minimally and 5 year maximal or money IDR 100 million minimally and IDR 400 million maximum.
