Balikpapan — The development of the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago is a concrete manifestation of the Indonesian Government’s efforts to achieve economic equality in all corners of Indonesia.
Acting Director of Controlling Government Administration and Development Licensing at the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN), Kuswanto explained that the existence of IKN is an effort for economic equality.
Not only that, according to him, IKN is also a civilizational leap for this nation to welcome a Golden Indonesia 2045.
“IKN is one of the civilizational leaps that Indonesia wants to take because Indonesia has a vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045,” said Kuswanto.
“One of the efforts is how to achieve economic equality throughout Indonesia,” he continued.
With the existence of IKN Nusantara, he added, it will certainly be a driving force in the economic sector, especially in Eastern Indonesia.
“So that later economic development in all regions of the country can be realized evenly, whether in Western, Central or Eastern Indonesia,” he said.
Furthermore, Kuswanto also explained the concept of development taking place in IKN.
For the development concept itself, IKN Nusantara implements new things that not many countries in the world have implemented.
The government is trying to build a city that is tough, sustainable, environmentally friendly and full of sophistication.
“IKN is building from scratch, meaning development concepts that may be applied in many countries and have not been implemented in Indonesia,” explained Kuswanto.
“The new concept of resilience, smart, tough, sustainable, green will be applied in the capital city of the archipelago,” he said.
The Acting Director of Controlling Government Administration and Development Licensing at OIKN emphasized that a smart city in the capital of the archipelago is not just a jargon or symbol.
“Becoming a smart city is not just a jargon or symbol,” emphasized Kuswanto.
Therefore, the government really strives for development that is able to solve various community problems.
“A smart city is able to solve the problems of its people in fast ways and is usually assisted by information technology,” he concluded.
