Bali – Indonesia is starting a series of events for the Indonesia Africa Forum (IAF) II and the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLF MSP) in Bali, which will take place from September 1 to 3, 2024. This event is expected to strengthen the strategic cooperation between Indonesia and African countries, as well as encourage multilateral collaboration for sustainable development.

The Director General for Asia Pacific and Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I Gede Ngurah Swajaya, revealed that the second IAF is a continuation of Indonesia’s efforts to strengthen relations with African countries.

“This forum is an opportunity for us to deepen our partnership with Africa, especially in the fields of economy, technology, and infrastructure,” said Ngurah Swajaya.

She also added that the IAF to II has become an important platform for exploring new opportunities in various sectors, which had previously been initiated at the first IAF in 2018.

In addition, the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas, Suharso Monoarfa, emphasized the importance of this forum in building cross-sectoral synergy. According to Suharso, the HLF MSP is an effective means to unite various stakeholders, including those from the government, the private sector, and civil society.

“With the presence of HLF MSP, we can create innovative and sustainable joint solutions for global challenges such as climate change and social inequality,” said Suharso.

Furthermore, Suharso explained that Indonesia and African countries have great potential to strengthen cooperation in the field of development. I hope this HLF MSP can become a productive forum for reaching strategic agreements that are beneficial for both parties.

“We want to ensure that the outcomes of this forum will have a real impact on society, both in Indonesia and in Africa,” he added.

The II IAF event and HLF MSP in Bali was attended by delegations from various African countries, high-ranking Indonesian government officials, as well as representatives from international organizations and the private sector. Various activities such as panel discussions, business meetings, and exhibitions of flagship products from participating countries are part of this event series. It seems that your message is empty.
