Today’s sophistication of communication technology has brought many changes to the relations of life of the community both individually and collectively in society. In the era of the 80s, communication could only be done through Pos Indonesia courier services, then there were emerging telecommunication shops that connected information between regions and followed by the emergence of cordless cellphones.
Slowly, the community’s need for communication technology is not a matter of exchanging news. Communication technology through social media is now a medium of self-actualization, socializing ideas and ideas of change, raising funds, mobilizing mass through cyberspace, conducting program campaigns and even being misused to spread hoax news or false news.
The rise of commotion after the 2019 General Election has not been tolerated lately. Satire insinuated and coincidentally struck each other. Leaders, scientists, politicians, religionists, statesmen to state leaders, did not escape the obsolescence of the producers of the dynamics that occurred. From looking for product profits, dropping competitor’s image, killing political rival characters, building bad opinions on society to disturbing people in real life.
April 17, 2019 is a historical record for the realization of the simultaneous election of the Indonesian nation, where the Indonesian people have the President, Vice President, The House of Representatives and the Regional Representative Council who are eligible to become public representatives for the 2019-2024 period.
There is still a polemic that emerged after the voting in the 2019 simultaneous election, raising concerns among many parties. Especially now is the digital era, where all parties easily spread false news and hate speech, so that it can provoke the public.
Even so, until now democracy has been considered to have sufficiently accommodated the Indonesian nation, whose national and pluralistic pluralism. The contribution of ideas and ideas of young people in maintaining the unity and unity of the nation after simultaneous elections should be encouraged in many places so that together, the Indonesian nation will grow to reason politically mature.
