Member of Commission I: Implementation of G20 Must be Supported by All Parties
The holding of the G20 Summit (Summit) must be supported by all parties, because the success of the agenda is not only from the ability to bring all world leaders in one forum, but rather the commitment that can be built to jointly try to overcome the current global economic crisis.
This was said by Member of Commission I DPR RI Christina Aryani to the media crew in Jakarta.
According to Christina, Indonesia needs to manage the situation well and continue to provide encouragement to the performance of this forum, which is expected to bring tangible results amid difficult global dynamics, such as the unfinished pandemic situation, the Russia-Ukraine war, the food crisis and various other global crises. .
All G20 member countries, he continued, have a responsibility for the success of the agenda. So the role of Indonesia to ensure that all leaders are present must still be maximized.
“Of course also the support of the whole community, so that this big agenda can work well and be able to bring benefits. Indonesia must continue to remind that all countries can be affected by the ‘sap’, but I still believe that Indonesia will work even more optimally at the end,” he said.
Christina revealed that she fully understands the government’s inner attitude as conveyed by the Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno P. Marsudi, who hopes that the G20 Bali Summit will not fail, because it is a big gamble for all G20 members concerning the welfare of billions of people in the world.
“We understand what the Foreign Minister said, her inner attitude towards the G20 event, this is a big agenda for Indonesia and the G20 countries. We both want this agenda to be successful even though it is in the midst of difficult dynamics, but Indonesia needs to manage the situation well. , and continue to encourage forum performance that can bring tangible results,” said Christina.
In a situation like this, Indonesia needs to have a clear attitude, that is, it cannot say that the current world situation is normal. The G20 event is a moment for Indonesia to show its leadership attitude to the world, in overcoming the challenges of polycrisis or simultaneous crises.
Christina further assessed that all parties want the G20 agenda to be successful even though it is in the midst of difficult dynamics, but Indonesia needs to manage the situation well, and continue to encourage the performance of forums that can bring tangible results.
