The Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) released its latest survey which states that the public’s assessment of the performance of President Joko Widodo’s government continues to increase. This certainly needs to be appreciated as a form of public trust in the Government ahead of the end of his term of office.
Towards the end of his term of office, the public gave a positive assessment of President Jokowi’s performance. The public said they were very satisfied with his performance so far. Seeing the satisfaction of President Jokowi’s performance at the end of his tenure before leaving, many figures praised him and some even called him a fragrant figure.
President Joko Widodo’s leadership style, which is known to be people-oriented, is also the best service he has provided through programs focused on improving people’s welfare.
The success achieved from Jokowi’s leadership has even been recognized by the international community to lead Indonesia to be even better to the point where it is now is not an easy thing.
Based on the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) in the last three months, President Joko Widodo’s performance has continued to improve. It is recorded in the LSI that public satisfaction with Jokowi’s performance in April 2023 reached 76.8 percent. Meanwhile this month the satisfaction increased by 81.9 percent.
According to LSI’s statement, the majority of the public 81.9 felt quite/very satisfied with President Joko Widodo’s performance, even the level of satisfaction consistently strengthened. Held on 1-8 July 2023, a total of 1,242 respondents were involved in the process of generating random phone numbers, validating and screening.
There are two notes from the public regarding Jokowi’s performance, namely regarding issues and law enforcement. As many as 27.6 percent of respondents rated the economy as very good or good. As many as 35.3 percent of respondents considered law enforcement in Indonesia to be very good or good. Meanwhile, the LSI survey uses a margin of error of approximately 2.8 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.
On the same occasion, the results of the Indometer survey also showed public satisfaction with Jokowi’s performance during his tenure, which reached 81.4 percent and among the other 9.6 percent they were very satisfied.
According to the Executive Director of the Indometer Institute, Lonard SB, the high level of public satisfaction which has exceeded 81.4 percent means that Jokowi could be a determining factor in the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election.
The achievement of public satisfaction with government performance above 80 percent is indeed the highest on record and is a phenomenon that has just occurred in the Jokowi era. In fact, even during the previous administration, when the two-term term of office was about to end, public assessment showed that only half were satisfied.
Furthermore, Leonard considered that Jokowi did not want the development legacy he had laid down to be damaged by someone he could not trust. Therefore, Leonard’s point of view is that the presidential candidate (bacapres) and his deputy who are also competing must also take into account Jokowi’s factors, including his program.
Secretary General of the National Mandate Party (PAN), Eddy Soeparno said that Pak Jokowi is likened to a very fragrant figure at this time, even anyone who is already associated with him currently shares his fragrance which is expressed in the form of electability.
According to him, Jokowi’s effect will later be strong in the contestation in the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election, presidential candidates associated with him will also feel lucky.
Seeing this, indeed all the performance of Joko Widodo’s government should be appreciated as much as possible considering that many things have happened, both development innovations, economic growth, and so on.
The program, which was built to solve various existing problems, is also inseparable from the performance of President Joko Widodo’s government, highlighting the level of success solely for a better Indonesia.
In fact, it can be seen from his performance so far that Jokowi has created a lot of adequate infrastructure development, especially in the Eastern Region which has begun to move forward. Problem after problem was resolved properly, one of which was in overcoming the Corona Virus Pandemic (COVID-19) which is endemic throughout the world. Economic recovery is not easy, but Indonesia is not sitting idly by, the proof is that until now, the country’s economy is slowly getting better.
How could it not be during Jokowi’s administration, inflation was managed to be controlled so that Indonesia’s economic growth at 5.4 percent was still safe amidst the world turmoil during the Pandemic some time ago. It is not an easy thing to control the country’s economy in the midst of a stoppage of sources of income because of the plague. For this matter, it must be admitted that Joko Widodo’s greatness during his reign as President of Indonesia was no joke and had such a big effect.
Thanks to all his hard work so far to build Indonesia for 2 periods and to bring Indonesia to where it is today, the public is very satisfied with President Joko Widodo’s performance, even this satisfaction continues to increase at the end of his current reign.
