The entire community must be able to firmly reject the practice of intolerance, radicalism and terrorism and be able to fully support the implementation of democratic parties and political contestation in the upcoming General Election (Pemilu) in 2024 so that it can run smoothly, safely and peacefully.
A number of residents in Purwosari Village, Metro Kota District, Lampung stated that they very firmly reject the practice of intolerance, radicalism and terrorism. This was declared during a recitation event to welcome the birthday of the Great Prophet Muhammad SAW at the At Taufik Mosque.
In the routine study conducted by Ustadz Suparman Abdul Karim with the big theme, namely ‘Metro City Residents Reject Intolerance, Radicalism and Terrorism in the Metro City Area and Support the 2024 Peaceful Elections’, he hopes that the entire community will not be influenced by all the ideas and also teachings that are deviant and not in accordance with the basic foundations of the state, namely Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia.
Not only that, but the entire community is also continuously encouraged and invited to work together to support the Indonesian Government by making the democratic party and political contestation a success in the General Election (Pemilu) in 2024.
In front of hundreds of students and congregations, Ustadz Suparman also hoped that such activities would be able to be carried out again because of their extraordinary benefits in being able to continue to ensure that all elements of society mutually maintain the unity and integrity of the Republic of Indonesia, and also to continue to improve the situation and conditions that are conducive and safe. under control in Indonesia, especially in Metro Cities.
Indeed, all elements of the nation from various circles and from various backgrounds and in various regions in Indonesia, all of them really do not want the practice of intolerance, radicalism and terrorism to continue to grow rapidly in the country.
Therefore, the same thing was also done by young students from among the students, who were members of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Archipelago Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) who held a peaceful demonstration at the monument. This action is in order to continue voicing condemnation of all disturbances in stability and also disturbances in security and public order (kamtibmas) because it is very damaging to the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) with the rise of various kinds of criminal acts.
Chairman of BEM Nusantara DIY, Muhammad Nur Fadillah, said that recently there has been a lot of talk about radicalism, terrorism and intolerance movements as well as many other acts of crime occurring more and more massively in all areas of this country, especially in the DIY region itself.
He even revealed that recently there was a suspected terrorist who was later arrested in the Sleman area, which clearly shows that terror perpetrators have started to develop again in DIY. Not to mention, there is also the rise of various kinds of crimes which are very disturbing to all members of society.
For this reason, in their efforts to continue to be able to maintain the condition of security and social order and also the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia, this is not only a duty and responsibility carried out by state officials, but should also be the duty and responsibility of all components of society, including the youth and students.
The youth and student groups very firmly stated their stance that they strongly reject all forms of radicalism, terrorism and intolerance and also strongly condemn all forms of crime that are rife. Apart from that, they also fully support the security forces of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) in their efforts to be able to thoroughly investigate all forms of crime cases that disturb residents.
BEM Nusantara DIY itself also emphasized that they will continue to synergize with the DIY Regional Police (Polda) in their efforts to mutually maintain conduciveness to Kamtibmas and also maintain the unity and integrity of the Republic of Indonesia.
It didn’t stop there, but the young students from among the students also emphasized that they continue to be very strongly committed to being at the forefront of fighting various kinds of opposing ideologies and also very threatening state ideology from various forms of radicalism and other prohibited ideologies. .
They also strongly reject all forms of radicalism and acts of intolerance in the world of education and in wider society. Also included, the students asked the Indonesian government to intervene directly in breaking the chain of terrorist relations in the world of education.
The actions of the entire community in strongly condemning all forms of terrorism in the Republic of Indonesia are also able to support the implementation of elections so that they can run peacefully, safely and smoothly. Because with the smooth implementation of democratic regulations, it will also have a good impact on the sustainability of the future fate of the nation by electing quality leaders.
