In the grand campaign for candidate number 01 Jokowi-Ma’ruf at the Makassar Karebosi Field, Jusuf Kalla had a special speech on the week of 31/3/2019.
In his remarks, JK specifically praised Jokowi as a leader who could make the country progress. He said, under Jokowi’s leadership, the government would be good and stable.
“If you want to go forward, then the leader must be honest, the leader must be populist, the leader must be democratic and all that is in Pak Jokowi. Agree? Shouted Jusuf Kalla, who was responded to by a shout of agreement by thousands of supporters of Jokowi – Maufuf.
Jusuf Kalla then touched on the presidential debate which took place in Jakarta on Saturday (3/30/2019) night. According to him, Jokowi is a very calm presidential candidate and not a presidential candidate who is always angry.
“If last night you saw it on TV, there was someone who was angry, certainly not Mr. Jokowi. “Mr. Jokowi accepts the views of all parties and that is a condition for developed countries,” JK added.
He also underlined that Jokowi’s attitude that was considered democratic was reflected in his togetherness for 4.5 years. Jokowi is called a person who wants to hear the views of all parties.
On the same occasion, the Vice President also invited all supporters to elect presidential candidate number 01. According to him, Jokowi was a presidential candidate who wanted to be close to his people.
Previously, Jokowi’s grand campaign in Makassar, South Sulawesi was lively. Thousands of Jokowi’s supporters who attended from various regions in South Sulawesi also attended this campaign.
Despite heavy rain pouring down the Karebosi field, supporters seemed not to stay away from the stage. In this grand campaign, Jokowi gave speeches for around 30 minutes.
Despite the rain, this campaign did not dampen Jokowi to deliver his political speech in front of thousands of supporters. Initially the rain had subsided when Joko Widodo gave a speech. However, shortly afterwards heavy rains flushed the karebosi field.
This made Jokowi’s aide immediately take the umbrella. Jokowi continued his speech.
“Thank you for coming, ladies and gentlemen. In the rain this morning, this is blessed rain, “said Jokowi.
At the beginning of the speech, Jokowi expressed his happiness in meeting his supporters in South Sulawesi. He said, he arrived in Makassar at 04.20 WITA.
Not forgetting, Jokowi greeted and asked his supporters how to speak with a typical Makassar language that was responded to with good words.
“Before I forget, what is it like? Ba’ji ba’ji jaki? All right? Thank God, “said Jokowi.
Jokowi revealed the reason for visiting the city of Makassar. He said, Makassar was one of the cities which was his priority, considering that his first period representative, Jusuf Kalla, was from the city.
“Once again, Makassar is a priority that I must visit because I and Mr. JK have been given a mandate by the people of Indonesia for 4.5 years. For almost five years, there has been nothing different from Pak JK, “Jokowi recalled.
In front of a crowd of sympathizers and supporters, Jokowi expressed his experience with JK in leading the government and the country. He praised his colleague because he had always been able to play an equally important role.
0 Jokowi gave an example, in every difficult decision making, he always involved JK. JK’s consideration becomes important so that every decision can apply to all Indonesian people.
“Nearly 5 years, me and Mr. JK can be said that there are no different things. I continued to go hand in hand with Mr. Jusuf Kalla, “Jokowi said, applauded.
“If there is my international meeting and Mr. JK is always on duty. This is the division of tasks so that every important thing is decided carefully because this country is a big country, “Jokowi continued.
In addition to Jusuf Kalla, Jokowi was also accompanied by figures from South Sulawesi such as Moh Ramdhan Pomanto, Nurdin Abdullah, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, PKPI Secretary General Verry Surya Hendrawan, South Sulawesi TKD Chair Syamsul Bachri, South Sulawesi Golkar Chair Nurdin Halid and South Sumatra PDI-P Chair Adi Ridwan Wittiri.
It was also known that when leaving for the campaign location, Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana departed using a pedicab.
