Private Sectors also Build the Road in the Village

A road in Arut Utara district, Kotawaringin Barat regency will build by cooperation between private and government. It will take cost of IDR 32 billion.

CIDISS – Cooperation between local government and private in building the roads is one solution to accelerate development. Through CSR funds, private and government parties work together to build roads for citizen access.

As in West Kotawaringin regency, the private sector also builds in areas where there is no access road. Regent Kobar Hj Nurhidayah appreciates private who participated in building inter-village roads in the District of North Arut. Nurhidayah acknowledged that the program of infrastructure development has been focused on the left-behind and remote area in order to accelerate and improve development.

Previously, there have been three companies that joined in the advance of infrastructure development in Arut Utara Subdistrict (Aruta). This time, PT Astra Agro Lestari also took part in road construction. No half-hearted, the road built by this company includes a road connecting four villages, namely, from Kelurahan Pantan to Kerabu Village, then from the Village Competition to Pandau Village.

CDAM Area B1 PT Astra Agro Lestari Nazri Ikhwan said the construction of four connecting road links in Aruta subdistrict is a form of company’s concern to open road access for people living in a number of villages in the local sub-district. In addition, the construction of this road is also a form of corporate contribution in supporting the District Government (Pemkab) Kobar program to accelerate the development of inter-village infrastructure in Aruta.

Through the CSR program, it contributes to infrastructure development. With the access road, it is expected to have a positive impact to improve the welfare of the community in Aruta District. For technical work in the field, the company will coordinate with related agencies.

Meanwhile, Head of Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Kobar Agus Yuwono, quoted by borneonews, said the construction of 70 km of road is charged to four large companies with a total budget of approximately Rp 32 billion.

In the construction of this road, companies are not withdrawn funds, but work directly in accordance with their respective divisions. For PT Astra Group, the work of road segments ranging from Kelurahan Pantan to Kerabu Village and then, the road from the Race Village to Pandau Village.

“Each company will open 40 meters of road construction, then prepare the width of 15 meters wide, 30 cm high and 12 meters wide land dump and ground excavation for the drainage channel,” said Agus.
