General Elections Commission (KPU) Kalimantan Tengah (Kalteng) started busy to the preparation of selection of governor and regent of Kotawaringin Timur.
Head of KPU Kalteng, Ahmad Syar’i, like published on Borneo News, Thursday (22/01/2015), he explained that election of these head regent will be hold on the same time. “On 26 February till 3 March 2015, that is registration of prospective candidate,” said him on his work’s room.
About mechanism registration, KPU is still waiting the draft sign that they received. However, as the anticipation for first preparation, KPU hold a meeting with the representative of political party and KPU regent/town.
On the other side, Syar’i also explained about no later than on two February 2015, KPU Kalteng must submit the number of residents Kalteng.
There are three components that KPU must prepare before governor and regent election. These are schedule steps of activity, the new number of elector and candidate. About the registration of prospective candidate, he told that independent candidate must attach supporting 5% minimal of the number of elector.
“But, we haven’t known yet about the number of elector. Example, there are 2,5 million elector, it’s mean that supporting minimal 125 thousand. It must prepare and complete when registration prospective candidate on 26 February later. It also with prospective candidate by the party, they must submit the form that have been signing and also attach KTP or etc,” said him.
The other preparation, KPU will recruit five people as a examiner team prospective team. One person form KPU and two other people from academician, also prominent figure. The first phase will begin on March 2015.
“Anyone can register, as long as they can fulfill the requirement. We also accept the prospective candidate at the same time,” said him
If we follow the draft, he added, on 16 December 2015 is the schedule for first election. Whereas the budgeting for election, he suspect about a hundred billion.
“Till today, we have not received yet clear information about budgeting. There was information, IDR.102 Billion. If we proposed IDR 200 Billion,” said him.
