CIDISS – Good news was delivered by Governor of Central Kalimantan, Sugianto sabran. Governor said that around 1.6 million hectares area which located in three regencies in Central Kalimantan was decided as People Forest by state minister for the environment.
Governor said, the tree regencies are Lamandau, Kapuas and Kotawaringin Timur. “Central Kalimantan must be thankfulness to god because got forest people from state minister for environment, and then it will gives positive contribution toward people economic,” said sugianto as in Antara news Kalteng.com
Sugianto said that 1.6 million hectares has decided by state minister for the environment as people forest will never be contrast to plant of urban development in Central Kalimantan and still in line with regulation.
Sugianto added, the large area of Central Kalimantan is 153.564 km2 or 15.32 million hectares, and then if need 45% to be forest area, there will be no matter, moreover it is good for this region.
Sugianto also is optimist to people Forest that will give benefit to people of Central Kalimantan. It is because the tree in people forest will be according to need of the area potential.
He said that people forest is new way of government to empowerment people near of forest, accelerate the poverty and tackle the conflict in forest area.
