In the midst of the process of preventing the covid-19 outbreak, the public was asked to remain vigilant with the presence of radicalism and terrorism.

Not long ago an act of terror occurred in Poso, where 2 MIT members brutally attacked police officers with homemade weapons. The news certainly should be a trigger for the public to remain vigilant about the possibility of radicalism in the midst of the corona virus pandemic.

Society in general must also be more prudent and focused on handling Covid-19 and do not get caught up in issues that trigger an attitude of intolerance, because this attitude of intolerance is the beginning of the emergence of radicalism.

The focus of the government and some people on the handling of corona outbreaks, could be a gap for radicals to spread their ideology, especially through social media, everyone can access it.

If further investigated, the motives of this radical movement are religiously misguided, radicalists will continue to fight until the Khilafah system can replace democracy, even though it must scare victims of fellow citizens.

Let alone with other religions, with those who are of the same religion those who think radically have the courage to disbelieve those who disagree. This is certainly not in line with the slogan rahmatan lil alamin.

During the corona pandemic, they will continue to blame the government and corner the government that failed to deal with the corona outbreak. This has become one of the entry points for them to recruit members. The trick is to persuade the prospective members not to believe in the government and choose to believe in the khilafah system .

The PSBB policy which is clashed with the obligation to worship proves that this can lead to citizens distrust of the government. Some of those who think radically, there are still those who worship at the mosque.

Of course the community must be careful with speech, life and death in the hands of God, if you die in a mosque because of corona, it becomes jihad. Of course this is a dangerous mindset error.

The application of PSBB with the slogan ‘ just at home ‘ is certainly a form of government concern to deal with the corona virus outbreak and to prevent the covid-19 outbreak from spreading.

Senior Researcher of Balitbang of the Ministry of Religion ( Kemenag ), Abdul Jamil Wahab, said radical groups could benefit from the current plague situation.

Abdul said, we must not ignore this issue of radicalism. Because if left unchecked, this can threaten the state’s ideology and security.

He considered, the act of radicalism is indeed not easily eliminated. Because conceptually, this radical group is masked by religion with the aim of changing the state ideology.

They have a motive, how to replace Pancasila with the ideology they believe in, namely the Islamic Khilafah .

The PSBB policy which has an impact on the decline of the national economy, can also be used to give the public a perception that government policy is weak.

The government through the ministry of religion has also appealed not to hold tarawih in congregation or Friday prayers at the mosque. If this is misunderstood , of course it is not impossible negative reactions will arise from those who still adhere to the ideology of radicalism.

The government’s effort to overcome radicalism in Indonesia is to build awareness that human differences are the nature of God’s creation. In addition, it is also necessary to ground the Pancasila.

Indonesian people from various ethnic groups must be united in rejecting radical ideas which are clearly detrimental to many parties. Pancasila as the basis of the state is final and cannot be contested by any ideology.

If left unchecked, of course this radical group will be very easy in recruiting new members. Of course this clearly shows that radicalism is a real threat that needs to be watched out together.

Indeed, we are currently focusing on handling covid-19 outbreaks, but we must not be easily provoked to be easily hated.

Currently there is no other choice but to comply with the government protocol to apply to participate in the Social Restrictions Large-scale, and do not leave the house if it was not for kepentinga urgent.

Radicalism still leaves roots that can grow and penetrate the gaps of government weakness. Of course all movements to hate the Pancasila and invitations to be intolerant must be wary of.
