The 2022 IESF 14th World Esports Championships in Bali will be held since December 1 and will close on December 11, 2022. Approaching the closing of the 2022 IESF 14th World Esports Championships in Bali, the positive trend continues for the Indonesian national team to win the overall championship.
The national team showed extraordinary performance at the Indonesia Esports Summit 2022. They won the IESF 14th World Esports Championship Bali 2022, in the Dota 2, eFootball 2023, Tekken 7, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) Female and Male, as well as Mobile Legend: Bang Bang.
The closing of the 2022 IESF 14th World Esports Championships in Bali will be held on December 11 as well as giving awards to the championship winners . The positive trend of the Indonesian national team’s victory in the championship still opens up opportunities for the Indonesian national team to win the overall championship and receive an award at the closing ceremony which was held on 11 December at 20.30 WITA.
One of these wins was won by the Indonesian National Team in the DOTA2 game number. On that occasion, Indonesia managed to beat Laos in the lower bracket final. In other words, currently Indonesia will fight for the world title in three numbers, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, eFootball, and DOTA 2
For this achievement, the General Treasurer of the Indonesian Esport Management (PB ESI) Liliana Sugiarto, said he was proud of this achievement. According to him, the Indonesian Esports Council (PB ESI) expressed his highest appreciation for the achievements of the Indonesian National Team in the esports world championship which was held as part of the Indonesia Esports Summit 2022.
He added that this success was the fruit of the serious work of PB ESI and many parties, from the National Selection, Pelatnas, to when the world championship took place. He also asked for prayers from all Indonesian people so that Merah Putih could be hoisted at the highest peak in world esports.
In the Grand Final round, the Indonesian National Team in the DOTA 2 game number will challenge the Philippines, which until now is still considered the strongest team. In addition, it will be the second meeting after Indonesia lost dramatically to the Philippines in the previous match.
The role and full support that has been given by Budi Gunawan as General Chair of the Indonesian Esport Management (PBESI) to the Indonesian Esport National Team at the IESF Bali 14th WEC 2022 has been very optimal. With all the support for these facilities, it is not impossible that the target of the overall champion is still very attainable and wide open.
The management of PBESI in the era of Budi Gunawan’s leadership has indeed brought many positive impacts and also changes in a much better direction for the development of the esports ecosystem in Indonesia. In fact, since he was first inaugurated, he has had lots of very strategic schemes and steps to guide the development of Indonesian esports.
PBESI as the organizer of the 2022 IESF World Esports Championship received a lot of appreciation for the success of the event. In fact, not a few parties claim that this event is the largest outdoor esports event in the world.

The results of this victory cannot be separated from the role of the loyal supporters of the Indonesian National Team who are even willing to come directly to Merusaka, Nusa Dua, Bali. With the enthusiasm of these supporters, it succeeded in making all the players much more excited to be able to score points.
Of course, the target of the overall champion owned by the Indonesian National Team itself is still very wide open. The reason is, until now several wins have been won by the Indonesian esports national team.
The success of the Indonesian Dota 2 National Team’s victory was due to the enthusiasm of the Indonesian athletes to reach the championship. Apart from that, they also hope to be able to contribute champions so that the target of becoming the overall champion in this year’s Esports world championship in Bali can be achieved.
In addition, it is known that the Indonesian eFootball National Team itself managed to win a ticket to the Grand Final after defeating representatives from the Argentina team. In the Upper Bracket Final round, the national team was able to beat Argentina with a final score of 2-1.
It is undeniable that the National Football Team itself has so far had an extraordinary performance at the IESF Bali 14Th WEC 2022. In fact, the National Team continues to experience victories and is able to get rid of many other strong countries such as representatives of Serbia to representatives of Saudi Arabia.
For CS: GO Female itself has won third place. This title was won by the proud heroines of the country, after being defeated by Argentina. Meanwhile, the men’s team successfully slaughtered their opponents Vietnam in the Lower Bracket. Even though the battle between the two was so fierce, in the end Sang Garuda was able to secure a final score of 2-0 without reply and headed to the next round.
It is hoped that the positive trend of the National Team’s victory in the Esport championship in Bali will continue to be improved, especially ahead of the closing of this prestigious competition. With the achievements achieved, this can make Indonesia and Indonesian athletes proud on the international stage.
