CIDISS, Central Kalimantan – Pineapple Parigi, people called this pineapple. The Pineapple Parigi is origin from Buntok of Barito Selatan Regency. This pineapple has different characteristic of other pineapple in other place.
Pineapple Parigi has special characteristic, such as do not make itch in red lane, sugar level is up of normally from other pineapple, moreover, the sweat taste in pith.
Pineapple Parigi is the only one of kind of pineapple that cans growth in turf area without fertilizer. In one Ha, it can produce till 50-60 ton of pineapple.
The more unique, the taste of it will be change and different if it plant in other place beside Barito Timur regency. The taste is not delicious as plant in Barito Selatan.
It ever plant in other area which have same land culture, also in Java, but the taste was different with pineapple which plant in Barito Selatan.
Because of these characteristics, this pineapple has been sold in the some Mall in Kalimantan and Java.
Regent of Barito Selatan, Ir HM Farid Yusran, MM, like quote in Antara News, Tuesday (31/3), invited all citizen of Barito Selatan to develop pineapple Parigi.
“I hope farmer of Barito Selatan regency plant pineapple parigi, in order, it become main commodity to increase family income in future, said Him.
Farid Yusran said, pineapple parigi is a superior commodity which registered in the Ministry of Agriculture as plant specific from Barito Selatan.
