TNI Commander, Gatot Nurmantyo said today the Indonesian people live in an era full of challenges and opportunities to face global competition in the form of competition between countries. According to him, in this era, the role of Indonesian ulama is one of the important and decisive components to realize Indonesia as a winning nation.
This was conveyed by TNI Commander General Gatot Nurmantyo at Halal Bihalal event in front of kiai, ulama and about 7,000 students and 2,000 alumni, held at Pondok Pesantren An Nur 2 Al Murtadlo, Bululawang, Malang Regency, East Java, Sunday (16/7) then. TNI General Gatot Nurmantyo revealed that history has proved that the role of scholars and sia scholars is always present in every struggle to realize, defend and fill the independence of NKRI in addition to other components of the nation.
The TNI commander asserted that before the Youth Pledge was voiced, they had urged the need for unity and unity of the nation to expel the invaders from Indonesia. He said Indonesia’s independence from the colonists of the past could not be separated from the important role of kiai, ulama and santri.

According to TNI General Gatot Nurmantyo, predicted around 2043 all the people in the world will find food in equator countries such as in Latin America, Central Asia and Southeast Asia. One of Indonesia is considered fertile and has abundant natural resources such as water, food and renewable energy.
Commander of the TNI revealed that this is what Indonesia should anticipate because its natural wealth will be a struggle for foreign countries. So the Indonesian people must be ready to face this fact because one of the countries in the equator that has enormous energy.
After the Halal Bihalal event, the TNI Commander implemented the first stone laying of the renovation of An Nur Mosque. He also inaugurated the building of the College of Sciences of the Yellow Book (STIKK).
It is difficult to deny that in the future the process of globalization will continue to shake the world. The flood of information, the intermittent thoughts, cultural values, inter-regional capital that flows from continent to continent, freedom of transport, population movement and the inhabitants of the world will change many aspects of human life. Therefore, Muslims need to understand the phenomenon of globalization deeply and thoroughly.
