As for the small category, according to Poly, are merchants of food who invest over 50 million rupiah. As for medium-sized businesses at least for larger invest over 100 million, usually are shops in Manado.
“UMKM in Manado has become one of the mainstays of government to reduce the number of unemployed, because UMKM can absorb many labors. The government is very concerned about that type of business, without prejudice the Large Business,” said Poli.
Moreover, he said, UMKM have proven to survive in conditions of economic crisis, it can be Indonesian economic strength.
