AMANAH Program Creates Inspirational Youth and Productive Economy
The Aceh Youth Creative Hub (AYCH) or Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul Besar (Amanah) Central Building, which was established at the initiation of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) of the Republic of Indonesia, is able to create an inspiring young generation and at the same time is able to develop much more productive economic activities in society.
With the existence of this forum called AYCH Amanah, the next generation of young people in Aceh continue to be trained and united into an association to become inspirational and accomplished young people. The reason is, the Youth Creative Hub is a means of improving the quality of human resources (HR) for them so that all of them are able to channel their many talents.
Of course, with the presence of AYCH or Gedung Pusak Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul Besar (Amanah), the youth in Serambi Aceh will become much more enthusiastic and they will be able to be prepared as a superior next generation to compete in order to revive the regional economy in a much more productive manner.
When young people in Aceh have an attitude that is ready to compete, it is not impossible that the revival of various sectors including Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) will become more advanced, so that the economy there will also be more advanced and developed.
In the AYCH Amanah building, of course there are many other related parties who help in educating and galvanizing the youth in Aceh to continue to progress, one of which is the Aneuk Muda Unggul and Awesome Community (AMANAH).
They collaborated with ARC-PUIPT Aceh Patchouli, Syiah Kuala University (USK) to empower the youth or millennial generation in the area which is famous for its traditional weapon called Rencong as its characteristic for the development of a creative economy, one of which is based on Aceh patchouli oil.
The training initiated by AMANAH initially focused on four patchouli derivative products such as perfume, body butter, pomade and body wash soap.
Chairman of the Aneuk Muda Unggul and Awesome Community (AMANAH), Muhammad Tanwier said that patchouli itself is one of nine superior communities in Aceh with high economic value.
Therefore, it is not surprising why patchouli has become an export commodity and is also a raw material for various industrial products even abroad. It is clear that by providing training on the use of Acehnese patchouli to young people, it is hoped that they will be able to drive the local economy through the youth movement.
Even though it has high economic value and is much needed by international markets, in fact patchouli as a superior commodity in the Veranda of Mecca has been largely forgotten by the people themselves.
In the end, ARC-USK, including AMANAH, carried out various methods and efforts to make it possible for Aceh patchouli to start to revive and become a promising commodity product.
The Chancellor of Syiah Kuala University Appreciates AMANAH and BIN
Chancellor of Syiah Kuala University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Marwan expressed his very high appreciation to Amanah. According to him, Amanah is an association for creative industry MSMEs and youth in improving the business and economic ecosystem in Aceh Province.
He also expressed his gratitude to the President of the Republic of Indonesia for providing opportunities for the young generation of Aceh in particular to be able to contribute more to the development of entrepreneurship in Aceh.
Likewise, the Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs at IAIN Banda Aceh, Syaifulah Idris, said that the Amanah Institute has the aim of developing and coaching MSMEs by involving trained mentors in various business fields. Not to forget, he also invited Acehnese youth and women to participate and improve Aceh’s economy together.
Thanks to AYCH Amanah Downstreaming and Patchouli MSMEs are Increasingly Able to Overcome the Economic Recession
Head of the Atsiri Research Center Center for Excellence in Higher Education Science and Technology (ARC-PUIPT) Aceh Patchouli, Syiah Kuala University (USK), Syaifullah Muhammad said that so far many parties have been involved in developing innovation and downstreaming Aceh patchouli, including one of them is BIN.
BIN received the task directly from the President to develop the local economy of Aceh through the AMANAH (Aneuk Muda Aceh Superior and Great) program. In this program, the young people received many provisions such as training, production and innovation assistance for patchouli derivative products.
The nation’s next generation of young people were all trained to make and produce four innovative patchouli-derived products, then they were trained to make packaging, carry out branding and digital marketing of products and were even provided with production tools for the continuity of their business.
The strengthening of downstream Acehnese patchouli products is clearly capable of strengthening the local economy in the community and at the same time creating a new ecosystem which causes the entire Acehnese community to become much more independent.
Inspirational youth and increased productivity in the local economy in Aceh and even the potential to penetrate foreign markets are entirely thanks to guidance from the State Intelligence Agency through the Aceh Youth Creative Hub (AYCH) or the Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul Besar Central Building (Amanah).
