AMANAH Program Increases Support for Modern Agricultural Development in Aceh

Banda Aceh – The Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul Hebat (AMANAH) Program continues to be committed to supporting the agricultural sector in Aceh through various initiatives, including the development of modern agriculture. Through support in the form of 50,000 population seeds, fertilizers, and other supporting tools, AMANAH seeks to encourage economic growth and increase food security in Aceh. This initiative aims to prepare the young generation of Aceh to be more prepared and independent in competing in the world of agriculture.

Harris, Coffee Farmer Ambassador, assessed that this program is very beneficial for the agricultural ecosystem in Aceh. “This AMANAH program is very beneficial for building an ecosystem in the agricultural sector, as well as making Acehnese youth more prepared and independent to compete with other farmers,” said Harris. According to him, this support not only provides technical benefits, but also opens up interesting career opportunities for young people in the agricultural sector.

Marzuki, Aceh Province Regional Coordinator for Millennial Farmer Ambassadors/Farmers’ Ambassadors of the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture, also explained the importance of implementing the smart farming concept in this program. “Smart farming is very suitable for millennial farmers who are familiar with technology,” said Marzuki. With this technology, farmers can increase the efficiency and productivity of their land, as well as manage their farms remotely, making modern farming a more attractive option for the younger generation.

Vicky Shu, Millennial Farmer Ambassador/Reliable Farmer Ambassador from the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture, emphasized the importance of product quality in facing market challenges. “When we are afraid of losses, it means we prioritize quantity over quality. In fact, what makes consumers loyal to buying our products is the quality,” said Vicky. He also encouraged young people in Aceh not to be afraid to start agricultural businesses and focus on maintaining product quality.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Aceh Farmers Market Forum, Benni Baihaqi, added that strong branding is very important in marketing agricultural products. “We must dare to do branding so that our products are known and trusted by consumers,” said Benni. He emphasized that with the right branding, Aceh’s agricultural products can be better known and in demand by the market.

Sandi Octa Susila, General Chairperson of the Millennial Farmer Ambassadors/Reliable Farmer Ambassadors of the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture, expressed his appreciation for the program run by AMANAH. According to him, this initiative is very important to improve the soft skills and hard skills of young farmers in Aceh. “This program is an important point in the development of agriculture in Aceh, and I hope more young people will be inspired to enter the agricultural sector,” he said.

With the high enthusiasm of the participants, Haris, Young Ambassador of the Yess 2024 Program of the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture, expressed his pleasure. “The questions from the participants showed their enthusiasm and strong desire to learn and develop in the field of agriculture,” said Haris.

This program is expected to inspire young people in Aceh to participate more actively in the development of the modern agricultural sector, as well as encourage economic growth in the region.
