AMN Creates Superior Students with Global Competitiveness

The Nusantara Student Dormitory (AMN) is one of the programs initiated by the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) with the aim of creating students who are superior and have global competitiveness. This program aims to provide facilities and a conducive environment for students so that they can develop their potential and improve their academic and non-academic quality.
The existence of AMN is a real form of the government’s commitment to developing quality human resources. AMN was founded with the aim of providing a comfortable place to live for students from various regions in Indonesia. In this dormitory, students can live together with fellow students from various universities and colleges in Indonesia. On the other hand, the Head of BIN as the initiator in the development of AMN Manado, Police General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan said that the presence of this dormitory was the center for the birth of future national leaders.
Meanwhile, the education sector is very important because it is the main foundation for the progress of a country. The government, through BIN, is realizing the existence of AMN to make the entire young generation who have extraordinary academic potential no longer need to worry.
Deputy Chair of the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR RI), Lestari Moerdijat, assessed that the government’s efforts to improve the education sector evenly for all the next generation of the nation in the country are clearly capable of encouraging an increase in the competence and quality of the nation’s young generation.
Not only does it facilitate complete access to the higher education sector, but it also provides concrete support in overcoming financial obstacles which often become a barrier to the academic potential of students from limited economic backgrounds. On the other hand, one of the things that is important for the progress of the nation and state lies in the quality of human resources (HR) for the nation’s next generation of youth, while to create young people who are qualified and globally competitive, education is the key.
One of the main goals of AMN is to create a conducive atmosphere for students to focus on learning and developing themselves. In this dormitory, students will get complete facilities such as study rooms, libraries, laboratories and sports facilities. Apart from that, AMN also provides various non-academic activities such as seminars, workshops and social activities to complement students’ experiences while living in the dormitory.
Director of Strategic Infrastructure, Directorate General of Human Settlements, Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), Ir. Essy Asiah said that the existence of AMN is indeed a forum for preparing the nation’s next generation of students with quality, integrity and strong national character who can be globally competitive.
Apart from providing adequate facilities, AMN also provides assistance and guidance to students in various aspects of life. Students will receive academic and non-academic guidance aimed at improving their abilities and skills. In this case, AMN collaborates with various related parties such as universities, industry and government institutions to provide training and experience that is relevant to the world of work.
Through this program, it is hoped that students can develop critical thinking skills, creativity, communication skills, and the ability to adapt to different environments. This is very important considering the challenges faced by students in the current era of globalization. Students need to have adequate qualities and competencies to be able to compete in an increasingly competitive job market.
Meanwhile, the existence of AMN itself is able to produce a number of future national leaders who have global competence and competitiveness. Apart from that, he also has the spirit of defending the country, a strong sense of nationality within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) and remains loyal to Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution (UUD) of the Republic of Indonesia.
The Acting Regent of Minahasa, Jemmy Kumendong, emphasized that his party fully supports the existence of the Nusantara Student Dormitory, because the existence of AMN can provide many benefits for students to pursue higher education so that they can become the nation’s next generation who are superior and competitive.
Furthermore, the existence of the building which stands on land granted by the North Sulawesi Provincial Government (Pemprov) with an area of 5 hectares (ha) and is being implemented by the North Sulawesi Regional Infrastructure and Settlement Center is certainly not just a place to live, but a place that will produce income. the nation’s next generation who have superior competencies and are globally competitive.
In the end, AMN is one of the programs initiated by BIN with the aim of creating students who are superior and have global competitiveness. Through complete facilities, mentoring, and collaboration with various related parties, AMN is able to provide opportunities for students to develop their potential and improve their academic and non-academic quality. In this way, it is hoped that AMN can become an effective forum for producing students who are able to compete at the global level.
