Former Deputy Chancellor I for Academic Affairs at Sam Ratulangi University (Unsrat), Grevo Soleman Gerung, hopes that with AMN in Manado, students can hone their skills to the maximum and be ready to compete on the national and international stage.

According to him, the construction of AMN is a catalyst for improving the quality of education and training, especially for Unsrat Manado. This government project can strengthen the role of universities in producing graduates who are competent and highly competitive.
Previously, AMN Development Consultant from the University of Indonesia (UI), Gumilar, said that there were four core values of multicultural education that continued to be provided in the dormitory, namely appreciation of multiculturalism, recognition of human dignity and human rights, development of responsibility for the world community, and development of human responsibility towards planet earth.
It is known that the construction of AMN is based on the mandate of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 106 of 2021 concerning Archipelago Student Dormitories. President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that the existence of AMN is very necessary so that students from various regions in the country can get to know each other’s diversity.
“(AMN) is filled with students from Sabang to Merauke, from Miangas to Rote Island. It’s all here, at the Nusantara Student Dormitory. What for? “To get to know each other,” said Jokowi, quoted from the Cabinet Secretariat.
Jokowi also hopes that AMN residents from various tribes, religions and regions will be able to be harmonious and united.
