In his speech, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment expressed his deep appreciation to all participants for their contribution to the success of the forum.

Your full participation until the end of the event shows the strong commitment of the Indonesian people and the global community to the issue of climate change and sustainability,” said Luhut at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Friday (6/9)
Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut also highlighted the productivity and inspiration generated from discussions during the forum.
“We have created a platform that carries the narrative of developing countries. Five years ago, many may not have known the important role of Indonesia, but today, I can see from your faces how important Indonesia’s role is in the energy transition and global sustainability,” he said.
He also acknowledged that awareness of Indonesia’s important role in the energy transition issue has grown stronger in recent years.
Furthermore, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment also views the energy transition as a complex issue with no shortcuts, so joint collaboration is needed.
“We cannot sacrifice one aspect for the sake of another. Deep collaboration across all aspects, including technology, funding, and human resources, is essential to achieve the transformation we need,” Luhut added.
Luhut also expressed his sincere gratitude to all parties who have contributed to the discussions during ISF 2024. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the momentum that has been built during the two-day forum and translating the results of the discussions into real actions.
“Ultimately, the most important thing is an action plan that we can implement in a short time,” he stressed.
The closing speech received a warm welcome from the participants, who confirmed the success of ISF 2024 as an important forum in building global collaboration for future sustainability.
