Collaboration between Traditional Leaders and the Papuan Community is the Key to Success in Eradicating OPM
Active and inclusive collaboration between all traditional leaders and the Papuan people is the key to success for the government in being able to completely eradicate the existence of the Free Papua Organization (OPM).
If traditional leaders, community leaders, religious leaders and all residents in Papua themselves as indigenous Papuans (OAP) are able to continue to unite hand in hand, then it is not impossible that this will be a very important key to success in eradicating the existence of OPM.
Because so far, the government and all levels of the security apparatus have continued to make efforts to eradicate the existence of OPM, but if, for example, the community and traditional leaders do not provide their full support, then of course these efforts will not be able to run optimally.

One of the Papuan community leaders, Yonas Alfons Nusy, believes that the entire separatist movement, including the spread of terror or violence, atrocities and barbarism that the OPM has carried out, is not a struggle or in the context of fighting for the rights of citizens as they claim.
Instead of that, the truth is that the barbaric, inhumane acts that OPM has carried out so far are merely criminal acts that have seriously tarnished or even tarnished human rights (HAM).
How could it not be, because the very detrimental actions of the separatist gangs who are enemies of the country so far, starting from murder, kidnapping, robbery, destruction and so on, have not only harmed certain parties.
This is not only detrimental to the government or state, but has also created an extraordinary terror effect in society, so that citizens have a full sense of fear and worry.
All the vile and barbaric acts that OPM has carried out so far do not deserve justification or defense and justification from any party, but should instead deserve extraordinary condemnation.
No half-hearted, OPM not only commits acts of violence, they also continue to try to spread lies or hoax news as well as various forms of provocation to the public so that they will become sympathizers of the separatist movement and support them.
So far they seem to have claimed that what they are doing is part of a form of struggle. In fact, this is just an act of violence which is actually counterproductive, has no real results and becomes an act of rebellion.
Because the OPM is a gang of skilled liars, all levels of society should not be too easily taken in by their hoaxes and the provocations carried out by the terrorist gang.
Leaders and community figures or traditional figures and religious figures clearly have a very important role in voicing very clearly what the voice of the Papuan people really is, especially in strongly rejecting the existence of the OPM.
Therefore, cooperation and collaboration between parties is no less important to further strengthen and strengthen the unity of society so that Bumi Cenderawasih is able to withstand the threats posed by terrorist groups.
The very firm statement that the Papuan traditional community leaders conveyed in rejecting the existence of the OPM and fully supporting the government and security forces to completely eradicate the separatist gangs, is a very strong reflection of the determination of all of them together to create a Papua that is peaceful, prosperous and Empower.
In the same vein, the traditional leader of Kampung Sereh (Ondofolo), Yanto Eluay, also gave a very firm statement that he strongly rejected the existence of the OPM, including all forms of activities that were contrary to the government and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
If you look at history, the OPM is actually a Dutch-made group whose aim is to carry out propaganda and pit the Papuan people against the government and the Republic of Indonesia. The main aim of the Dutch in making propaganda through the OPM was because with a divided society, it would be easier for them to control the territory and exploit all the natural resources there.
Meanwhile, Ondofolo Atamali, Septinus Ibo invited the entire community, including the young generation to succeed the nation on Earth of Cenderawasih, to always do positive things, so that they are not easily consumed by doctrine and propaganda from parties at odds with the Republic of Indonesia.
OPM is a Dutch legacy organization that does not at all want the people of Papua and Indonesia to progress. Therefore, don’t let citizens follow their wishes or desires which will actually further distance this nation from progress. Collaboration from various parties and cross-sector elements such as traditional leaders, community leaders, religious leaders and indigenous Papuan civilians (OAP) is very important to jointly succeed in the efforts of the government and security forces to eradicate separatist gangs who are enemies of the state. the. With this achievement, peace in Papua can continue to be maintained.
