The International Sustainability Forum (ISF) is a global initiative that is an important forum for discussing various issues related to sustainability. This forum is a strategic platform for finding solutions that can be applied in various sectors, including economic, environmental, and social. In making the ISF a success, the active role of ministries and institutions in Indonesia is very important. The success of this forum is not only the responsibility of one party, but also requires collaboration from various sectors led by related ministries and institutions.
The Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) is one of the spearheads in the implementation of ISF. With a focus on environmental issues, KLHK plays an important role in directing forum discussions towards concrete solutions that can be implemented to maintain environmental sustainability. The Minister of Environment and Forestry, Siti Nurbaya Bakar, emphasized that ISF is a golden opportunity for Indonesia to demonstrate a real commitment to protecting the environment. ISF is a momentum for Indonesia to strengthen its position as a country committed to sustainable development. Through this forum, Indonesia can share experiences and adopt best practices from various countries.
Furthermore, KLHK has also prepared a number of programs that will be presented in this forum, including forest rehabilitation initiatives and carbon emission reduction. These efforts not only show Indonesia’s seriousness in environmental issues, but also provide an example for other countries about the importance of sustainable natural resource management.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) also plays a crucial role in the ISF. Given that the energy sector is one of the main contributors to carbon emissions, the Ministry of ESDM focuses on the development of renewable energy as a sustainable solution. The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia stated that the ISF is the right platform to promote the use of clean energy in Indonesia. The Ministry of ESDM will utilize the ISF to strengthen Indonesia’s commitment to the transition to renewable energy. This is an important step to ensure that our economic growth does not sacrifice the environment.
The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources also plans to introduce several renewable energy projects that have been successfully implemented in Indonesia, such as the development of solar and wind power plants. This initiative is expected to inspire other countries to adopt similar technologies, while opening up opportunities for international cooperation in the field of clean energy.
No less important, the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs also has a strategic role in making the ISF a success. As the ministry responsible for economic policy, the role of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs in the ISF is to ensure that all sustainability initiatives can be implemented economically. The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, emphasized that economic sustainability cannot be separated from environmental and social sustainability. The ISF is a forum where we can design policies that are not only environmentally friendly, but also economically profitable. Sustainability is the key to inclusive long-term growth.
In this forum, the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs will present various policies that support sustainable development, including incentives for companies that adopt environmentally friendly practices and regulations that encourage green investment. In addition, the ministry also plays a role in ensuring that every policy resulting from this forum can be implemented effectively in Indonesia.
One of the key points that will be raised by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs is the importance of partnerships between the government and the private sector in realizing sustainable development. This partnership is expected to increase investment in green technology and encourage sustainable innovation in various economic sectors.
The success of the ISF is not only determined by good implementation, but also by concrete results that can be applied in the field. Therefore, collaboration between ministries and institutions is very important. Each ministry has a specific role, but the ultimate goal is the same, namely to ensure that Indonesia can be an example for other countries in terms of sustainability.
ISF is also a forum for Indonesia to expand its international cooperation network in the field of sustainability. Through this forum, Indonesia can build strategic partnerships with other countries and international organizations that share the same vision. This will not only benefit Indonesia economically and environmentally, but will also strengthen Indonesia’s position in the global arena.
The success of ISF will be a reflection of the commitment and hard work of various parties in Indonesia, especially the ministries and institutions directly involved in organizing this forum. With solid cooperation and a clear vision, Indonesia can use ISF as a momentum to strengthen its position as a country committed to sustainable development. This is an important step towards a greener and more sustainable future, not only for Indonesia, but also for the world.
