The Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul dan Hebat (AMANAH) program continues to show a significant role in improving the welfare of the community, especially fishermen. One of the latest innovations that has been successfully developed is a fiber boat that is specifically designed to help fishermen reduce fuel consumption.
This initiative, which is part of the strategic flagship program in the era of President Joko Widodo’s leadership, aims to provide economic solutions for fishermen while supporting environmental sustainability by reducing carbon emissions.
This fiber boat is created with a lighter and more aerodynamic design than traditional wooden boats. This allows the boat to move faster with less fuel consumption.
In addition, fiber boats have the advantage of longer durability and easier maintenance, so fishermen do not need to replace boats frequently or make costly repairs.
Nasri, a fisherman and local fisheries entrepreneur, sees the fiber boats made by AMANAH as the right solution to the problems faced by fishermen in Aceh.
According to him, this fiber boat has helped many fishermen reduce their daily expenses for fuel, so that their profit margin can increase. In daily operations, the use of fiber boats is also more efficient because the materials used are more resistant to extreme weather conditions at sea. This makes fishermen feel safer and more comfortable when going to sea, without having to worry about the boat being damaged or carried away by strong currents.
The innovation carried out by AMANAH is part of the government’s human resource quality development program through the BIN initiative, which aims to improve the standard of living of coastal communities in Aceh.
This program not only focuses on infrastructure development, but also provides technical training to fishermen regarding the use of fiber boats and boat maintenance so that their service life is longer.
With this guidance, fishermen in Aceh are now more independent in managing the sea transportation they use, and more efficient in managing daily operational costs.
In addition to the fisheries sector, AMANAH is also active in developing innovation and technology in other fields, one of which is the health sector. This program initiated by the institution led by Police General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan shows a strong commitment to encouraging creativity and technological innovation to solve crucial problems faced by society.
One real example of the development of health technology supported by AMANAH is the innovation developed by the startup Ludesc, which won the Aceh Digital Innovation and Creativity Techfest (ADICT) competition.
Cut Nanda, founder of Ludesc, explained that the technology developed by his team is an artificial intelligence (AI)-based tool for detecting lung disease. This tool is designed to help people, especially in remote areas, who have difficulty getting access to sophisticated medical services.
Through medical image data analysis, this AI technology is able to provide a fast and accurate initial diagnosis, making it easier for health workers to treat patients who need further treatment. This innovation is considered an important breakthrough in efforts to improve the quality of health services in Aceh, while also supporting government programs in expanding access to health services in the region.
Qurratu Aini, one of the judges at the ADICT competition, saw that innovations such as those developed by Ludesc were concrete examples of how Acehnese youth were able to utilize technology to solve major challenges in the health sector.
According to him, the AMANAH program has created an ecosystem that supports the growth of local technology-based startups, so that the creative ideas produced not only have the potential to provide positive impacts at the local level, but also have a great opportunity to be implemented on a national or even international scale. Initiatives like this prove that Acehnese youth have high capabilities and competitiveness in utilizing technology to answer the needs of society.
This leading strategic program in the era of President Joko Widodo’s leadership also places innovation as the main focus in supporting various economic and social sectors. By encouraging collaboration between technology development, creative innovation, and community empowerment, AMANAH is able to create sustainable solutions to the challenges faced by various sectors.
Innovations in the fisheries sector using fiber boats and in the health sector through AI technology to detect lung disease are two real examples of how this program has successfully combined technology and local culture to improve the quality of life of the community.
Fiber boats made by AMANAH are not only beneficial for fishermen in terms of fuel savings, but also in terms of environmental conservation. By reducing fuel consumption, exhaust emissions produced by boats are reduced, thus contributing to reducing marine pollution.
Fishermen who use these fiber boats can go further out to sea at a more affordable cost, so that their fish catch becomes more and their income increases. In the long term, these fiber boats are expected to be able to replace traditional wooden boats that are less efficient and more easily damaged.
Support from the government through AMANAH not only has a direct impact on fishermen, but also creates opportunities for more inclusive economic growth in various sectors.
The development of more fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly fiber boats is a concrete step in overcoming the challenges faced by the fisheries sector in Aceh.
On the other hand, the development of technology in the health sector shows that innovation driven by AMANAH has great potential to provide a wider positive impact.
With various initiatives that have been implemented, the government’s human resource quality development program through the BIN initiative continues to demonstrate its commitment to creating sustainable solutions for the people of Aceh.
The success of the AMANAH program in creating more fuel-efficient fiber boats for fishermen is one of many examples of how innovation and technology can be implemented effectively to improve people’s welfare. This program not only helps improve the economy, but also builds a strong foundation for the growth of the creative and technological economy in Aceh.
