Having Achieved Various Brilliant Achievements, Budi Gunawan is Again Trusted to Lead PB ESI
Jakarta – Head of the State Intelligence Agency (KaBIN) General of Police (ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, SH, M.Si., Ph.D., PSM has again been entrusted to lead the Indonesian Esports Executive Board (PB ESI) for the 2024-2029 period.
This appointment was announced after a series of processes in the National Sports Conference (Musornas) and the National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) of PB ESI on Sunday (6/10) at the Intercontinental, Jakarta.
The Head of the 2024 PB ESI National Conference, Kartikajaya, explained that the decision was the aspiration of all ESI Provincial Chairmen.
“Therefore, it was decided that Police General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan was appointed as the General Chairperson of PB ESI 2024-2029,” he said.
In his remarks at the opening of the 2024 PB ESI National Conference and National Coordination Meeting, General of Police (Ret.) Budi Gunawan revealed the achievements of PB ESI.
“We have a management team of 9,280 people starting from the central level to the district level,” said the Elected General Chairperson of PB ESI 2024-2029.
“We have also included e-sports in Law Number 11 of 2022 concerning sports as an acknowledgment that Esports is one of the branches of achievement sports,” added Budi Gunawan.
Not to forget, he also expressed his gratitude to all parties who have worked together to advance Indonesian Esports.
“Thank you for your support, hard work, dedication, and extraordinary contribution to building the Esports ecosystem in the country,” said Budi Gunawan.
In the same place, the Expert Staff for Sports Culture at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Hamka Hendra Noer, also gave his full support to the leadership of Police General (Ret.) Budi Gunawan.
“We express our deepest gratitude for the proud achievements made by the Indonesian Esports national team under the management of PB ESI,” said Hamka.
For information, a number of achievements have been successfully achieved by PB ESI under the leadership of General of Police (Ret.) Budi Gunawan. Such as, the establishment of the Garudaku Esports Academy to training for referees.
In terms of achievements, Esports athletes fostered by PB ESI under the leadership of General (P) Budi Gunawan also succeeded in becoming the overall champion at the 2023 Cambodia SEA GAMES by contributing 3 gold and 2 silver medals.
