The International Sustainability Forum (ISF) is a strategic platform that connects countries around the world in an effort to address increasingly complex sustainability challenges. The forum aims to strengthen international cooperation in formulating innovative and strategic solutions, integrating policies and initiatives that focus on environmental protection and improving the quality of life. Through the ISF, countries can share knowledge and best practices, encourage the adoption of green technologies, and find new approaches to address climate change and other sustainability challenges.

The benefits of the ISF are wide-ranging. First, the forum provides an opportunity for participants to learn from other countries’ experiences and knowledge, enhancing technical capacity in implementing sustainability projects in their respective countries. Second, the ISF builds a global network that facilitates collaboration between governments, the private sector, and civil society, accelerating the transfer of technology and investment needed to achieve sustainability goals. Third, the forum serves as an advocacy platform that highlights critical issues in sustainability, encouraging more coordinated and focused global action.

Indonesia, as one of the countries with a major impact from climate change and other environmental challenges, plays a crucial role in the ISF. Indonesia’s commitment is evident in its active participation and substantial contribution. Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), emphasized that Indonesia has a major stake in global efforts to achieve sustainability. Through the ISF, Indonesia can collaborate with various countries to find innovative and effective solutions in managing natural resources and reducing environmental impacts.

In addition, Indonesia also uses the ISF as a platform to showcase the progress it has made in the renewable energy sector and environmental management. Dr. Siti Nurbaya Bakar, Minister of Environment and Forestry, added that the ISF provides an opportunity for Indonesia to lead discussions on climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies. The Ministry of Environment and Forestry hopes to use this forum as a platform to disseminate our initiatives related to forest protection and carbon emission reduction. This shows how Indonesia uses this forum to introduce its relevant initiatives at the global level.

Furthermore, Indonesia acts as a bridge between developing and developed countries, providing valuable perspectives on the challenges and opportunities faced by countries with different backgrounds. In this regard, Indonesia contributes to the creation of more inclusive and diverse solutions, and supports the achievement of a more equitable and sustainable global agreement.

As a country with very high biodiversity wealth and major challenges related to climate change, Indonesia has valuable experiences that can be shared in this forum. Various local and national initiatives, such as forest conservation efforts and renewable energy development, provide concrete examples for other countries in facing similar challenges. By integrating these experiences and best practices into global discussions, Indonesia plays a role not only as a participant but also as a leader in setting global sustainability standards.

It is important to note that ISF also provides a platform for Indonesia to collaborate with the private sector and civil society in developing sustainability strategies. Partnerships between the government and the private sector are key to implementing effective and sustainable policies. By involving various parties in discussions and planning, ISF allows Indonesia to strengthen its policy strategies and create synergies between various stakeholders.

Indonesia’s presence in the ISF also reflects the country’s commitment to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (SDGs). Through active participation and real contributions, Indonesia has demonstrated its determination to support the achievement of SDGs targets, especially in the areas of climate change, clean energy, and natural resource management. The forum serves as a platform that facilitates reporting on progress and sharing experiences in achieving these targets, as well as encouraging other countries to increase their efforts.

With the ISF, the hope for a more sustainable future is getting closer. This forum serves not only as a forum for discussion but also as an accelerator for real actions that can have a positive impact on our planet. Through close collaboration between countries, the private sector and civil society, the ISF has the potential to produce more effective and coordinated solutions to pressing global challenges.

Overall, the ISF is an important platform that not only brings together global stakeholders in the pursuit of sustainability, but also provides significant benefits to participating countries through knowledge exchange, capacity building, and global networking. With its active role in this forum, Indonesia is not only voicing its commitment to sustainability, but also strengthening its position as a global leader in the sustainability agenda. Through its participation and contribution, Indonesia hopes that the ISF can continue to serve as a catalyst for more effective and coordinated global action, as well as motivating countries around the world to collaborate in creating a more sustainable future.
