The government has a very strong commitment to continuing to realize a high-quality 2024 Simultaneous Regional Head Election (Pilkada) by upholding and fully respecting the implementation of the law in accordance with the regulations in force in Indonesia.

There is a strong commitment from the government to be able to create a regional level democratic event, namely the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada, which is of high quality and must also receive full support from all elements of society.

Moreover, the government itself also really respects applicable laws as well as the authority of each state institution to make decisions. So that all elements of society should do the same thing, namely always uphold respect for applicable laws and continue to maintain regional security and social security and social security stability.

For all elements of society, the effort to continue to maintain stability and security as well as social security and social order together is by not easily falling into the trap of receiving unclear issues, let alone provocative ones.

Don’t let the public participate in spreading provocation efforts and calls for mass action or demonstrations, even though in fact these demonstrations are very vulnerable to being infiltrated and controlled by certain groups who are completely irresponsible and only in the interests of their own group.

Member of the Indonesian People’s Representative Council (DPR RI), Dave Laksono, said that the working committee (panja) meeting of the Legislative Body (Baleg) was with the agenda of discussing the Pilkada Draft Law (RUU) and not to cancel the latest decision from the Constitutional Court (MK). .

The DPR RI Baleg meeting is something that needs to be held even though it is currently approaching the registration of candidate pairs (paslon) in the 2024 regional elections. This is not without reason, because the decision from the Constitutional Court needs to be studied so that there are no multiple interpretations which in the future will disrupt its implementation. in the implementation of the democratic party.

Baleg itself has agreed to bring draft Bill Number 10 of 2016 concerning Regional Elections to the Plenary Meeting on Thursday 22 August 2024, namely by accommodating the decision of the Supreme Court (MA).

Thus, the age limit for gubernatorial candidates is determined when the elected candidate is inaugurated. Not only that, but the DPR RI Baleg also agreed to change the threshold requirements for nominations in the Pilkada from party lines to only apply to parties that do not have seats in the DPRD.

Refusal to be involved in demonstrations or demonstrations which only have the potential to lead to riots, anarchism and also attempts at division must continue to be voiced.

As a good society and citizen, you should be able to refuse if there are chain messages inviting you to hold rallies and demonstrations because they are very vulnerable to being manipulated.

Indeed, so far there have been certain parties who have continued to try to provoke people to take part in demonstrations. So there must be a firm rejection. Apart from that, the community should be able to contribute to building a more advanced future for Indonesia and continuing to maintain regional conduciveness.

Make it happen together with Indonesia and also hold a safe, peaceful regional election without provocation and other things that are very detrimental to society. Insight to be able to understand the applicable rules and laws is very important.

Apart from that, the public should be committed to preventing and encouraging other citizens not to be easily carried away by rumors or provocations by carrying out various negative activities, one of which is demonstrations or demonstrations that end in anarchic action.

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) while attending the National Consolidation Meeting in the context of 2024 Regional Election Preparedness called for regional level democratic parties to be able to continue running safely, orderly and smoothly.

Even though it has big challenges because it is the momentum for the largest simultaneous elections in Indonesian history, it is very important to maintain the quality of the Pilkada at every stage, starting from voter registration, logistics distribution to preventing disruption to the vote counting process.

The government emphasizes the importance of supervision and transparency in the election process to prevent fraud and carry out law enforcement in the Pilkada process.

Increasing the supervisory function in the Pilkada process by continuing to place independent and neutral supervisors clearly increases the transparency of the vote counting process using the latest technology.

Good cooperation between all elements of the Pilkada organizers for the success of its implementation by making thorough preparations and hard work, because this will be able to bring strong legitimacy in society. For the government, it is very important to continue to maintain the quality of the regional elections and also the integrity of all parties.

To assist in the success of the regional elections, all parties should be able to continue to uphold the constitution and various democratic principles. According to Vice President (Wapres) KH Ma’ruf Amin, success in regional level political contestation is by preventing and taking firm action against fraudulent practices and continuing to prioritize stability and security.

Respect for applicable laws, including how the government continues to implement decisions from each state institution. Apart from that, the government continues to carry out a very strong commitment to being able to realize a quality Simultaneous Regional Election in 2024. The public should not be easily taken in by any issues or provocations to hold demonstrations which have the potential to end in anarchy and are prone to being manipulated by interest groups who want to create security instability.
