Security Forces Prepare Thousands of Personnel to Ensure Security of the 2024 Election Masses
The 2024 General Election (Pemilu) is almost months away, therefore it requires really thorough preparation to make it smooth and successful. To make this happen, the security forces have prepared thousands of personnel to ensure mass security in the upcoming 2024 elections to create a conducive situation.
Preparations for the 2024 Election are indeed quite long, starting from before the Election to monitoring before the Election. There are many things that must be prepared, one of which is security and maintaining community conduciveness in responding to the election itself. To prepare for this, many parties need to work together to realize the dream of a safe, peaceful and peaceful 2024 election.
As previously known, the National Police Headquarters stated that they had reactivated the Nusantara Cooling System (NCS) Operation ahead of the 2024 Election. Inspector General Asep Suheri as Head of NCS Operations said that the operation was officially activated on September 11 2023 based on an order from the National Police Chief, General Listyo. Sigit Prabowo on August 25 2023. This effort was made to prevent undesirable things from happening, such as the potential for a breakdown in the unity and unity of the Republic of Indonesia.
This NCS operation aims to minimize the occurrence of negative, provocative issues that have an ethnic, religious, racial and intergroup (SARA) background. Not only in society, these negative issues also need to be watched out for in cyber space by prioritizing pre-emptive and preventive measures. Apart from that, this operation also functions to anticipate divisions and conflicts that will arise in society as a result of differences in support in the 2024 elections.
The difference in support is very natural, because humans have their own assessment of the potential leaders they will choose, for this reason the police will not take law enforcement action, but will prioritize efforts with a dialogue and communication approach, namely through the Nusantara Cooling System (NCS) Operation. NCS operations will later be divided into 4 task forces (Satgas) and 8 Sub-task Forces, namely, Preemptive Task Force, Preventive Task Force, Public Relations Task Force, and Ban Ops Task Force.
It is predicted that the 2024 election crowd will be very large, for this reason all levels of society will participate in maintaining security and order. Both cannot be separated from the important role of the security apparatus. Regional Police Chiefs from all regions are preparing to secure their respective areas, including Central Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi who said that at least they will deploy 22 thousand joint Kodan IV/Diponegoro personnel to maintain security and order in the 2024 Election.
It is important to maintain security and order in the 2024 elections, because before the change of leadership, the political temperature will heat up, so it is also hoped that there will be no explosions that could disrupt security and mutual comfort. Inspector General of Police Ahmad Luthfi reminded that society should maintain our unity and integrity because both are our collective breath. In the midst of society where negative political issues are blowing, we should all realize as soon as possible not to be influenced by these issues.
Furthermore, Luthfi added that his party had formed a Cooling System Task Force whose task was to reduce the atmosphere during the election period, so that the implementation of this election would remain safe, peaceful and prosperous for all humanity in Indonesia. In the Cooling System Task Force there is also a Media Management Task Force, a Social Media Task Force, and a Partnership Management Task Force. It is hoped that the entire Task Force can act as a coolant when the situation heats up in the upcoming 2024 elections.
Luthfi also explained that there were tens of thousands of joint personnel assigned specifically for the 2024 election period, in the Central Java region alone there were 117,299 polling places (TPS) being guarded. With such numbers only one region, and not other regions. For this reason, we should also appreciate the performance of the security forces who are trying optimally to participate in securing and guaranteeing the masses in the upcoming 2024 elections.
All levels of society must be aware of and increase digital literacy to make the situation and conditions of the 2024 Election safe, peaceful and peaceful. This prevention can be done starting with self-awareness and fortifying oneself not to be influenced by any information or news that spreads in society, either directly or in cyber space. Apart from that, people are also required to deepen their sense of tolerance and respect for each other. By increasing the sense of tolerance and feelings of mutual respect, this will increase the sense of brotherhood and minimize the occurrence of conflict so that the potential for division will also be low.
The role of the security forces in ensuring and maintaining order in the 2024 Election is very necessary and plays an important role, but it is no less important for the community itself to help maintain order and security in its environment, because in this way the 2024 Democratic Party will be peaceful and peaceful in accordance with what is stated aspired to.
