Healthy democracy and integrity are the main pillars in building a just and prosperous country. In that spirit, the implementation of the 2024 Pilkada must be closely monitored to ensure that each stage runs honestly, fairly and transparently. An invitation to all Indonesian people to participate in this monitoring is an important step to maintain the quality of our democracy.

Located at the Depok City Bawaslu Office, the Supervision Corner facility was inaugurated by the Chair of the Depok City Bawaslu, Fathul Arif, last Thursday (04/07/24). This facility is a concrete manifestation of the Depok City Bawaslu’s commitment to safeguarding democracy and ensuring a clean and transparent implementation of the 2024 regional elections. With the Supervision Corner, each stage of the Regional Election can be closely monitored, and violations can be followed up immediately.

The Monitoring Corner plays an important role in monitoring the 2024 Regional Elections. This facility was created as a center for information and public complaints regarding various election violations, including administrative violations, code of ethics and election crimes.

The public can report violations directly, so that each stage of the regional elections can be closely monitored and followed up immediately. This is one of the concrete steps that shows that the Depok City Bawaslu is committed to maintaining the integrity and credibility of the Pilkada process.

Apart from being a complaint center, the Supervision Corner also functions as an open democratic space for the community. Here, the public can participate actively by providing constructive input, criticism and suggestions.

The public can also get the latest information regarding the stages of the Pilkada, election regulations and voter rights. In this way, they can play a more effective and informed role in the democratic process.

The existence of this Supervision Corner shows the responsibility of the Depok City Bawaslu in supervising elections by involving various parties, including the community, non-governmental organizations and other related agencies.

It is hoped that this step will create clean and high-quality regional elections and strengthen democracy at the local level. The hope is that the public can actively participate in monitoring the 2024 regional elections, in order to create clean and quality elections and strengthen democracy at the local level.

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Hadi Tjahjanto also confirmed that the 2024 regional elections will go ahead as planned on November 27. Various preparations ahead of the regional elections continue to be finalized, by bringing together several ministries/institutions to find solutions so that the implementation of the regional elections can proceed according to plan and without obstacles.

This preparation includes security and logistical support, which is a challenge in itself because the implementation of simultaneous regional head elections is a new history in Indonesia.

To ensure that the 2024 regional elections run smoothly, Hadi explained that various efforts had been made, including holding special coordination meetings in Papua, Makassar and Medan. The Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs has also established an election and regional election coordination desk, which includes 19 ministries/institutions.

This desk has the function of organizing readiness, security, handling violations, and socializing related to the stages of the regional elections. This step is aimed at optimizing synergy and coordination in overseeing the 2024 regional elections.

Apart from that, Hadi also continues to support the KPU, TNI, Polri and ASN to remain neutral and have integrity in holding regional elections so that they run safely, peacefully and smoothly. He also invited Bawaslu, the Prosecutor’s Office and the National Police to work together in prevention and supervision to reduce the possibility of criminal acts occurring during the Pilkada.

Neutrality and integrity are the main keys to ensuring that the Pilkada implementation runs well and the results are acceptable to all parties.

Executive Chairman of B-Universe, Enggartiasto Lukita, appreciated the steps taken by Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Hadi Tjahjanto in an effort to maintain political, legal and security stability ahead of the 2024 Pilkada.

B-Universe as a media is also ready to participate in overseeing the 2024 Regional Elections by socializing various messages, hopes and notes in the 2024 Regional Elections. Enggartiasto explained that the steps taken by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs are very systematic and detailed, showing seriousness in ensuring that the Regional Elections run well. .

Thus, it is important for all of us to support monitoring efforts and active participation in the 2024 Pilkada. Let us maintain the integrity of our democracy by participating in monitoring every stage of the Pilkada.

The Depok City Bawaslu Supervision Corner is a concrete example of the commitment to maintaining a healthy democracy. We must join hands to ensure that the 2024 regional elections are held honestly, fairly and transparently. That way, we can build a stronger and better democracy in the future.

Integrity and transparency are the foundations of a healthy democracy. Therefore, let’s guard and guard together the implementation of the 2024 Pilkada for the sake of a better future for Indonesian democracy. Every small step we take in monitoring and participating in the Pilkada process is a major contribution to the progress of our democracy.
