The government pays very serious attention to the higher education sector in Indonesia. One concrete form of this focus is the realization of a superior strategic program, namely the Nusantara Student Dormitory (AMN).
With the existence of AMN, it is not impossible that the higher education sector will be of much higher quality. Apart from that, another important thing is enabling all of the nation’s young generations to have access to equitable education.
The existence of the Nusantara Student Dormitory (AMN) is a form of very serious attention from the government to be able to provide equal access to the higher education sector for all of the nation’s young generation from all corners of the country without exception.
The government’s seriousness in really paying attention to the higher education sector is very clear. Chief of Presidential Staff (KSP) Dr. Moeldoko said that universities should not only focus on academic issues, but should also provide strengthening of character education.
For character education for the nation’s young generation, this can be related to ideology, religion or responsibility and discipline. They can get all these things from guidance, training, upbringing and training in the Nusantara Student Dormitory (AMN) which will enable the birth of a cadre of national leaders in the future.
In fact, the role of universities is to be able to strengthen the character of young people, so that character education is not just about academics. The reason is that strengthening the character of young people is a long-term investment that is very important to realize the ideals of Advanced Indonesia 2045.
If the young generation who are the future successors of the nation have strong character, it is not impossible that Indonesia will also be able to survive resiliently when facing any challenges in the future.
Because recently there have been many global phenomena which are very complex, full of risks and which are also changing very quickly, which also requires rapid adaptation. For this reason, the government is really making efforts so that young people can compete on the world stage.
The government has intensified various steps, including through superior strategic programs, especially in terms of fixing human resources (HR) problems in the education sector. One of the breakthroughs in the era of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) leadership was the existence of the Nusantara Student Dormitory (AMN), initiated by the Intelligence Agency. Country (BIN).
This is a concrete form of the government’s seriousness in expanding access to higher education for all young people in various corners of the archipelago. So that in the future there will not be a single Indonesian citizen left behind in achieving their dreams.
Because it is very important to hone the skills of young people, through AMN, the government is also preparing a large framework for implementing the National Talent Management program which can become a forum for managing various superior talents and interests in many fields such as sports, arts and culture, as well as research and innovation.
The Nusantara Student Dormitory has indeed been proven to bring various kinds of real benefits to society, especially to young people. The State Intelligence Agency (BIN) as one of the institutions directly responsible to the Head of State initiated the construction of the building and the realization of the program.
If the higher education sector receives full attention from the government, it is not impossible that this field will clearly experience an improvement in quality so that it can turn young people into the next generation of the nation into highly competitive human resources (HR).
If the increase in competitiveness continues to occur among the nation’s youth, it is not impossible that it will bring prosperity to all parties, because economic activity in society and in various other fields will also increase.
All of these things are the government’s hopes and desires, therefore the realization of AMN’s strategic program through the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) deserves full support because it brings many direct benefits to society.
The support from the community has never failed and they all hope that there will be a continuation of the Nusantara Student Dormitory program, which previously stood majestically in the City of Heroes, Surabaya and will continue in various other areas such as Manado, Makassar, Jakarta, Yogyakarta and Malang.
According to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), all parties should be able to play an active role in initiatives to pay attention to higher education because currently the world really needs everything that is adaptive.
Indonesia will be able to keep up with the world’s rapid changes if there is an increase in quality in the higher education sector, thereby enabling all young people to have access to technology, information and communication equally.
The government’s very real and serious form of attention in the field of higher education is concretely expressed through the realization of the strategic flagship program for the Nusantara Student Dormitory (AMN). It is hoped that the community can support this program so that in the future it can produce a superior generation in realizing a Golden Indonesia 2045.
