The Government is Optimizing the Quality of Human Resources for the Papuan People, to Make Indonesia Advanced
The Indonesian government has various programs to build quality Human Resources (HR) throughout Indonesia, including in the easternmost part of Indonesia , namely the Papua region . As part of the Republic of Indonesia, the government emphasizes making the entire Papua region a top priority in human resource development . This step was taken as a commitment to bring real benefits to the Papuan people and help create better conditions for their future.
Improving the quality of human resources is the key to advancing Papua in addition to accelerating development in the economic and infrastructure sectors. it is important to invest in Papuan human resources , because the human factor is the main factor in the success of Papua’s development to move forward .
Human resources in Papua will of course continue to be encouraged, both through government programs and in collaboration with the private sector. The specific skills possessed will be considered important to meet the needs of skilled industrial workers, increasing competency by training skills. very important to contribute to economic growth. Quality human resources play an important role in the economy, politics and improving the nation’s welfare. Papuan youth must be fully involved and contribute to human resource development.
Deputy for Coordination of Improving the Quality of Children, Women and Youth of the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture , Femmy Eka Kartika Putri, said that young people should contribute to every human resource development and not forget to improve their potential skills and expertise. With a good quantity of human resources, the government is committed to improving the quality of knowledge and Papuan Community skills for the welfare and progress of its people.
Various government efforts continue to be made to improve the welfare of its people through developing and improving the quality of Human Resources. Director of Public Policy Studies for the Indonesian Government ( Puskappi ), Bobby Darmanto , said that the special autonomy fund had changed the mindset of the Papuan people to have the ability to compete with other communities and even internationally. This enthusiasm can be seen from the enthusiasm of Papuan youth to get study scholarships .
Apart from that , the abundance of natural resources ( SDA) in Papua will be useful for the welfare of the Papuan people if they are managed by competent human resources . Improving the quality of human resources must continue to be considered and managed appropriately, considering that in the future superior human resources will be needed to develop Papua .
To provide more creative space for superior, creative and advanced Papuan sons and daughters, the PUPR Ministry has built a Papua Creative Development Center or Youth Creative Hub in Jayapura, Papua Province. The hope is that this will become a center for developing great talents in the land of Papua, as well as becoming a creative center for young Papuans in strengthening the innovation ecosystem.
The key to the gate to Papua’s future lies in the hands of a healthy, intelligent young generation whose education is guaranteed. This foundation will give birth to a strong soul, a steadfast heart, and a competent person who is fully committed to developing the land of Papua. Acceleration in building infrastructure is a concrete step for the government to advance Papuan human resources. This will contribute to a lot of progress in Papua and the archipelago . A prosperous country certainly comes from a society that is prosperous both materially and financially. Therefore, it is important that all parties work together and support the government’s efforts to make every program in Papua a success , in order to make Indonesia developed.
