After the voting day, the two camps still maintained confidence in their victory, even when the results of the real count from the KPU differed from the claims they expressed. Allegations of fraud and slander about the KPU’s burglarized server were also exhaled.

Even though Indonesia is still mourning the death of over 400 KPPS members tasked with holding the election. But the propaganda of accusations never subsided.

At the National level, the maneuvers from the Democratic Party and PAN to the opposing camps have indeed caused group inconvenience, but the recognition made for greater matters as a nation is positive.

Dare to change attitudes for great wholeness even though it must still have a sense of humanity and solidarity, and politically this can be considered as a reconciliation initiative, initially the opposites are now fused to reduce the sharpening of the existing conflict strength.

As stated by the General Chairman of the Democratic Party, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), he said that in the midst of a hot situation awaiting a vote count by the General Election Commission (KPU), two winning teams should hold back by suppressing their respective egos.

SBY’s statement was conveyed before a public figure who was visiting Ani Yudhoyono at the hospital. Among others were those present, Sinta Nuriyah Wahid, Mahfud MD, Alissa Wahid, Dahlan Iskan, Beny Susetyo and a number of other figures.

The former President of the Republic of Indonesia in the two periods also said that opening a dialogue room was important. Because after all this concerns the interests of the nation that must be prioritized.

“Of course we cannot hope that once a dialogue will produce a solution, because it is necessary to continually prioritize reconciliation efforts,” he said.

There are three things suggested by SBY to find a way out of this noise. Namely, compromise, take and give and win win solution.

Reconciliation efforts also received support from the PAN DPP Secretary General, Eddy Soeparno, who considered that the efforts of reconciliation between the two parties were good and very positive proposals.

“I am sure that Prabowo and Sandiaga as the presidential and vice presidential candidates that we are carrying out will definitely welcome because at the end of the presidential election we have carried out the program, now we are waiting for the results,” Eddy explained.

He also said that we need to wait for official counts from the KPU to be used as references or references. However, if there are parties who feel dissatisfied or who need to be resolved legally, then they can sue through the legal mechanism provided.

“So I think the corridor is clear, and sooner or later, I think the problem of reconciliation is a matter of necessity will definitely occur,” he added.

Post-election reconciliation can certainly be a role model for the public, that the two candidates are leaders who teach peace.

For the sake of values and interests as a nation, we should positively welcome that courage, including the values inherent in the leadership of the state, the President, the leadership of the People’s Consultative Assembly, the House, individually but capable and courageous in looking at space, promoting statehood, money must represent and strengthening nationality, to stay in touch with each other that is used to unite the divisions of supporters of each contestant in the presidential election.

Because basically, democracy does not mean creating a divider of difference, but democracy is the basis for creating unity in difference.

When referring to 70 years ago, we will be invited to think that among intellectual clerics and scholars who have historically labeled participating in building the nation of Indonesia, some of them have not continued to provoke deepening conflict with the footing of external sources. Including some of the generals today who realize that maintaining national sovereignty and unity is far more important than mere political existence.

They did not support the call for people power which assumed that the results of the KPU on May 22 which were still several days were invalid.

Thus, this development must focus on the stages of how violence or potential war is deflected towards peace to be carried out to support reconciliation that has been sown by various parties. So that there is no fear of violence in the community in looking at the future.
