Valorant Indonesia National Esport Team Wins Gold Medal, PBESI Deputy Secretary General: It’s Time to Take Indonesia to Fly High
Banten – The Indonesian Valorant National Team managed to win a gold medal in the 2023 Valorant SEA Games esports. Even though it was a long negotiation process, Indonesia had to share the gold medal with Singapore, due to the potential drama of fraud on the part of the Lion Country.
However, this does not reduce the feeling of pride for the achievements made by the young generation of the country to make the nation proud. Therefore, Deputy Secretary General of PBESI I Gede Kartikajaya welcomed the Valorant Esport Indonesia National Team with pride and gratitude for this moment.
“I am proud and express my highest gratitude to the officials and coaches who have not been in vain. You (Indonesian Valorant National Team) bring something very valuable to this nation, namely gold for Indonesia’s victory,” he said.
He said that the Indonesian Valorant National Team has raised the red and white flag in another country, namely Cambodia and today they are called Indonesian heroes.
“Congratulations to you, in the future it must be greater and greater. I’m sure we can all show Indonesia’s fangs in the international world,” said Deputy Secretary General of PBESI I Gede Kartikajaya.
In addition, Assistant Deputy for Sports Organization and Energy (Asdep Tenor) Kemenpora M Azis Ariyanto also commented on this achievement. As for himself, who represented the government, expressed his deepest gratitude to the Indonesian Valorant National Team. This is because the government must always support the implementation of ongoing international events.
“Those who have succeeded in getting gold, silver or bronze are always enthusiastic. For those who haven’t, there’s still time. What is clear is that this is not the last time,” said the Menpora encouragingly.
He also said that in the future there will still be a series of other international events such as the Asian Games and the Olympic Games which can be used as an opportunity for Indonesia to prove its potential on the international stage.
“I’m sure Indonesia can definitely become a champion and get better,” he said positively to the Indonesian national team.
