The 212 Alumni Brotherhood (PA 212) plans to hold a 212 reunion on 2 December 2019. A number of community elements also rejected the plan. Besides being irrelevant to be carried out, Reunion 212 was only considered to have caused a national upheaval after the 2019 Election.
The latest news states, that a grand reunion of 212 will be held which will involve the FPI frontman, Habib Rizieq Shihab (HRS). Although the figure is still not in the archipelago. However, the fanfare of the event has been widely circulated, to the virtual world. There is something interesting here, Prabowo is one of the sympathizers who they used to stretch out of. What would happen? Are they disappointed with the Minister of Defense right now?
Fachrul Razi, as Minister of Religion (Menag) Fachrul Razi, was reluctant to respond to the 212 Alumni Brotherhood Plans (PA 212). Which will hold this event again held on December 2 next. Initially this 212 Action was formed to protest the statement of SARA tone from (former) DKI Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok. Precisely after staging the 411 action on 4 November 2016, the GNPF Ulama then continued to drive the 212 Action on 2 December in the same year.
In fact, this Action is claimed to bring around 7 million people, which is now an annual agenda and handled by PA 212. This activity, also carried the name of Pentagon Gerindra, Prabowo Subianto and his coalition parties. However, Chairman of the PA 212 Media Center Habib Novel Bamukmin crossed Prabowo’s name from his attendance list. He argued that if he did not understand because there was no discussion related to the name that now served as Minister of Defense in the new Jokowi cabinet.
Prabowo did not invite him to respond to a number of parties with various assumptions. Starting from accusations of “no friends” anymore to other opinions that are considered quite intriguing. Because, this was considered so obvious, considering that Prabowo was once hailed when running for President as Jokowi’s rival at the time.
In the 212 reunion it was said that it could suck up to millions of masses. But will the third reunion without Prabowo be that busy? However, it is likely that it will always be there, it could be that it will be crowded or even quiet. His loyalists slowly left 212, because Prabowo no longer joined in it and chose to move to the government camp.
Not just impressed holding a number of figures for political interests. However, there is indeed the possibility that this annual reunion event contains a political agenda. Not to mention, they also invited FPI leaders who are now still invisible. Not judgmental, as the 212 planned action always triggers pros and cons. Many of these organizations are considered too harsh in criticizing the government’s steps. In fact, as we know, the government always tries to be present for its citizens.
Back to the routine agenda plan that will be held at Monas, it still seems to be “ngalor-ngidul” due to the committee’s ever-changing statements. In the past, when the same event was about to be held, they declared themselves purely as an annual fraternal reunion event. However, in reality, a number of political elites were coupled to “enliven” the stage of the event.
With regard to HRS, the FPI frontman with several cases and “harshness” towards the Jokowi government also invited various perceptions. What is the essence of this event? Or is it still on the same goal which is to “undermine” all the steps of government? So it is only natural that this activity reaps a lot of protests, because the clarity of the objectives of the action cannot be ascertained. Moreover, the Minister of Religion, fachrul Razi also has not been able to comment, related to the implementation that has not been submitted.
