In the next 5 five years, the President has prepared 5 priority development programs. Reportedly, Jokowi will partner with a number of parties, including several developed countries.
The acceleration of development in the 5 priorities of the Jokowi – Ma’ruf program can slowly be enjoyed. In a number of areas, there have been reports of Jokowi’s promise being realized. The most recent is the construction of infrastructure on the east axis, Papua. The series of development that can now be enjoyed has added to the belief in the “rapid movement” of the head of state. In fact, our President is not reluctant to personally review it directly to ascertain how the development targets have been achieved.
Although there is no denying there will always be pros and cons regarding the steps of the Republic of Indonesia number 1 man. Not an easy matter, governing millions of residents with a variety of opinions and assumptions. However, the President continued to advance, confident of maneuvering to advance the Indonesian nation

Previously, President Jokowi outlined five priority development programs, with the following details;
The first point, Jokowi places his first priority in terms of HR development. He wants to build human resources who have a hard-working nature, and also dynamic, skilled, mastering science and technology. It also invited talents on a global scale to work with Indonesia.
Second priority, with regard to infrastructure development that will continue. The main thing is the infrastructure that connects the production area with the distribution area, it aims to facilitate access to tourist areas, help boost new jobs, and be able to accelerate added value in the people’s economy sector.

Third, it deals with all forms of regulatory constraints that will be summarized or simplified. He said he would partner with the House of Representatives to issue two major laws. Namely, the Employment Copyright Act and the Law concerning the empowerment of MSMEs. It was also stated that the Act would become an omnibus law, meaning that the Act would revise several laws, even dozens at a time. In particular, the Dozens of Laws which could hinder the creation of jobs were immediately revised. Including revising dozens of laws that would restrain the development of MSMEs.
The fourth priority is to simplify the bureaucracy that will continue to be carried out on a large scale. Where the investment sector for job creation must take precedence. Long procedures must be sliced. Long bureaucracy must be summarized. And with regard to Echelonization must be simplified. He stated that he would summarize this echelonization into 2 levels only. Replaced with functional positions that are considered to respect expertise and also competence.

Jokowi also asked the Ministers, Bureaucrats and officials to focus on ensuring the realization of the objectives of the development program. He asserted, there would be no forgiveness for those who “mencla – mencle”, which is just getting ready to be removed from office!
While the last or fifth priority is economic transformation. Jokowi wants the Indonesian nation to change from a variety of dependencies on natural resources to the competitiveness of modern manufacturing and services. Which is considered to have more value for the welfare of the nation.

On the other hand, President Jokowi held a bilateral meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on the sidelines of the 35th ASEAN Summit in Bangkok on Monday 4 November 2019 yesterday. According to the report, at the beginning of the meeting, Jokowi explained that in the next 5 years, Indonesia had several main development priorities.
Jokowi explained if he would focus on two issues, namely infrastructure cooperation and improving the quality of Human Resources. Responding to this matter, PM Abe gave his welcome to the development priority plan. In fact, the State of Sakura is ready to contribute to realize this big plan.

In this regard, Jokowi also revealed a number of Japanese-Indonesian collaboration projects. Among others; The Jakarta MRT Project, the Jakarta-Surabaya Fast Train project and the Patimban Port. He added that it would increase the use of local content and technology transfer in infrastructure development cooperation. The former mayor of Solo, invited Japan to increase its cooperation in the fields of vocational and internship including entrepreneurship programs based on technology, creative economy and also digital.

If traced according to the program above, the percentage to be realized is quite large. Before cooperating with the capital city of Tokyo, Jokowi was able to realize some of the infrastructure development. So, do not rule out the possibility, other priority programs will soon be able to catch up with its success.
