Society Rejects Religious Leaders Use Hate Speech

222

Recently there has been a phenomenon of some religious leaders who have even brought hatred, because they used provocative sentences in their lectures. People feel angry because they should invite them to do good. But instead, they provoked the people to fight and used harsh words.

Since the opening of the reform era in 1998 there has been euphoria because the public can express their opinions freely. Likewise with religious leaders. They are relieved and no longer afraid of being intimidated because the content of the lecture is considered insinuating from one party.
But unfortunately there are people who abuse this freedom. They are passionate about lecturing without filtering the contents of the script. A lecture at a commemoration event is instead filled with calls for war, jihad, and peppered with dirty diction. For them jihad is considered lawful, even though it actually destroys peace between people in Indonesia.

They also vilify the government which is considered evil, just because of the different political currents. In addition, the lecture script was peppered with news that turned out to be a hoax. So that the listeners will believe, because they think the religious leader is always telling the truth. Even though believing in hoaxes is very dangerous because it is full of falsehoods.

The public was very disappointed with the actions of some religious leaders who were very overt. How can someone who is supposed to set a good example, even exemplify a bad thing? They even encourage people to be hostile to people of other religions. Also forget that in the past the prophet preached in a gentle way, not imposing like this.

Even though the preacher had studied the holy book and hadith, he forgot what the prophet said about “saying good or keeping quiet”. It’s really too much. Have they also forgotten the phrase ‘your mouth is your tiger’? So that they boast their status as a religious leader and are considered free to lecture on anything.

Too bad their popularity is used for something negative, to channel lust and anger. Aren’t you ashamed of the title of religious leader if you can’t keep your word? Even though it could be that the audience of the lecture is a toddler who doesn’t know the meaning of dirty diction, then when he comes home he makes a mess. Isn’t that called poisoning other people’s minds?
