Comparing Jokowi and SBY Era Road Construction, KSP: Don’t Manipulative of Data and Think Partially
Main Expert of the presidential staff office (KSP) Ade Irfan Pulungan responded to Anies’ statement comparing road infrastructure development during the Jokowi and SBY eras.
According to him, road infrastructure development carried out by the government, be it Jokowi’s government or before, should not be assessed partially but must be seen as a whole.
“All development carried out by the government, whoever the president is, must be seen from the point of view of developing Indonesia. Prospering the people, so the way of thinking should be like that. Don’t be partial,” said Ade Irfan
Ade explained that during Jokowi’s administration, many roads were built. The community benefited greatly from the construction of this road. Even toll roads also provide benefits for the community.
“For business needs, of course you need speed of time. Toll roads connect from one place to another,” said Ade.
As is known, during the Jokowi era, around 340,000 kilometers of national roads, provincial roads, city district roads and village roads were built. Until now, there have been no complaints about the road construction carried out by the Jokowi government.
“So the narrative of the thoughts should not be partial like that. We should want to build this republic together from Sabang to Merauke,” he said.
As previously reported, the presidential candidates from the Coalition for Change Anies Baswedan, the 10th and 12th Vice Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla, and the Democratic Party General Chair Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono criticized the government during the era of President Jokowi’s leadership.
This was revealed at the PKS 21st Anniversary event at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Saturday (20/5/2023). According to Anies, the construction of road infrastructure during the Jokowi administration era to connect population mobility and drive the community’s economy was less compared to the era of the 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY).
